As a regular customer at various Starbucks I have gotten used to nothing short of excellence across the board. I struggle with that description here but please don't miss understand me! At the St. Stephens shopping center Starbucks outlet it is extremely busy therefore a wait is often to be expected. 10-15 minutes would be normal. The service here is second to none and the staff are 100% superb, wheelchairs would not struggle in here and there are great toileting facilities too. Delivery is an ongoing service here for those who cannot be there in person and the prices are (as any Starbucks) considered to be great for the superb range of food and drink available. Located on the 1st floor of the mall parking would not be expected however the Tesco located on the ground floor offers a carpark which I understand offers 10 minutes free then an above £5 purchase for continued free parking or a small fee otherwise. I give this outlet a 4 star rating because of the wait I experienced but in every other aspect its a clear 10/10. I recommend this outlet to anyone who likes great value, great service, and a great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDreadful!! It's positioned only within St Stephens.. Almost suspended.. The problem here is that st Stephens is always cold, like wind tunnel cold. So when your having a drink your always having to huddle or leave your jacket on to keep warm. It couldn't be considered cosy!! Then there's the drinks, they never arrive hot!!!! No where near hot!! I've ordered a hot chocolate countless times and just received a drink you could call tepid chocolate. If you mention it could be a little hotter then they'll say they don't want to burn the milk etc but Nero manages to deliver me a hot choc that is lovely and warm as do many other places.. I just can't recommend it though for the biggest reason, it's location. Having a drink you want to take 30 mind out your day somewhere warm and cosy and enjoy your drink!! Not pay to catch hyperthermia. I've since stopped going to this Starbucks and tried Nero. I thought I'd hate that but it's warm and we'll located but more importantly my drink is lovely, not cold, covered in 8 inches of cream and flowing over my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately this Starbucks will be closing soon - I believe their sign says they are closing on 21st July 2019. The staff have done a great job through the years and I shall miss it. I've been a regular customer here for several years, and it is one of the better Starbucks for friendly and efficient service, and for being kept relatively clean and tidy.
I really like Starbucks coffee (I drink the decaf variety), and this branch has a wider selection of food than many, too.
The location is extremely convenient, being right in the middle of St Stephen's shopping centre, and is an easy walk from the rail and bus interchange next door. The downside is that its location is on a first floor landing which has barrier sides rather than walls, so it is often cold and draughty: sit under a wall-mounted bar fire in...
