Tucked away in a quiet corner of the bustling St Stephen's Shopping Centre is a true culinary delight. Zizzi never fails to deliver delicious food, warm service and an incredibly inviting atmosphere. So good - we make a 30 mile round trip just to dine here. My personal pick is the pasta della casa with a gem lettuce side. Always beautifully cooked with each bite bittersweet as it means you're nearing the end. Save room for the melt in the middle chocolate pudding and ice cream, or one of the many other desserts such as tiramisu, honeycomb cheesecake or golden millionaire's slice. The service and the restaurant itself is always spot on. I always appreciate when the kitchen is part of the dining area. Not only does it build anticipation, but it shows that all the food is cooked fresh because all the action is happening right in front of you.The smells wafting over create palpable hunger as they do so. Slight menu choice envy from other tables set in, though it provides ideas for something new to try for next time. We ordered two mains, a side, a pudding and four drinks, with the bill coming to £44 minus tip (please tip those in the hospitality industry after the time they've had of late). So all in all, excellent value, always an amazing meal and a really relaxed vibe. Best of all, you get to eat your own bodyweight in pasta. Really, what more could you ask for?

Lovely spot in the busy shopping centre. We arrived a few minutes before opening time but staff were very helpful and let us in to be seated anyway. They moved tables around to accommodate us having a large pushchair with us, along with their friendly attitude made eating here very enjoyable and relaxing. Great selection across the whole menu of food and drinks, we opted for the 3 courses for around £22 which is great value. Most restaurants that offer this deal usually have a very restricted choice but we found plenty that we liked on this deal. Drink and food service was very efficient, especially considering we arrived early too. We also thoroughly enjoyed all of our courses, hats off to the chefs. We were given adequate time between each course where the wait staff were great at keeping tables clean and tidy as well as checking in on tables. The whole place including the bathrooms was kept very clean and the decor and general atmosphere of the place was relaxing and inviting. We would definitely return when in the area.

This place is 100%. From the interior design through the menu to the food. It’s not just a pizza place and in fact I did’t have a pizza, but after trying calzone I am sure pizza will be delicious as well. The goat cheese on my salad tasted like washed in bleach but since I don’t know anything about stinky cheeses I will give them benefit if the doubt. If you are anything like me, and cannot imaging food by reading description, use their online menu for pictures. You can connect to free WiFi. It requires some ‘bs’ registration which is very surprising in 21century but I see all places in UK are little behind regarding this. Staff is very friendly but not very professional so you’re on your own deciding on what to choose. It is small town after all so polite and friendly is more than enough. Overall positive experience.

I visited Zizzi's in Hull for the first time ever on Sunday as part of my birthday celebrations. The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean and relaxed. We were greeted immediately by a server named Yasmin. Throughout our visit she was absolutely amazing! No request was too big or small, she was very friendly and personable, and she was always fast to come to our table and help, despite the fact I think she was serving quite a few tables that night! She definitely contributed a lot to how much we enjoyed our trip to Zizzi's. There was a wide selection of food for all dietary requirements, and the food was absolutely gorgeous - so flavourful, served quickly and hot. Two of us opted for the Sticky Pig pizza, which I HIGHLY recommend, and our guest opted for the Prosciutto Carbonara pasta which she could not compliment enough. A honeycomb desert each afterwards and we were stuffed! Delicious and well worth it - and that goes for the whole meal. The prices were very reasonable for the large size of the pizzas, and the desserts we tried were gorgeous too! The cost was helped by the fact we were members of the Zillionaire club - Zizzi's own loyalty scheme - which entitled me to a free pizza just because it was my birthday! Overall, my visit here was excellent and I would highly recommend that if you have time, you pay Zizzi's in Hull a visit. Thanks again Yasmin for making our experience enjoyable, and big thanks to the chefs and other staff for the wonderful food and...

After a arduous shopping trip at St Stephens, I was longing for a exquisite but utilitarian meal. I’ve had “food” before, but after the days task, I was requiring an experience and not sustenance.

I arrived at the typical meal time hour, it was busy…But the staff were attentive to every requirement I had. I felt as if I had stepped into a family kitchen rather than a restaurant.

After the warmth in my heart grew, it was time for it to enter my stomach.

I perused the varied and well thought out menu. There are two things in life that I hold dear in my heart, my wife, and pork and garlic meatballs. Now there is only one thing I treasure…

After that taste extravaganza, I waltzed onto the main. A chicken milanese. I’m a huge believer in the northern delicacy of the Chicken Parmesan. But this felt like a far more refined experience. A divine gift upon longing taste buds.

After the ecstasy of the first 2/3 of the meal, I moved onto my final conquest. Giant festive profiteroles. I ordered these as a little joke to myself, as Christmas had ended at this point, and it felt humorous to order a Christmas item menu after the fact. But a joke it was not. The pastry, light but decadent. The cream…Oh the cream…

I think about this meal on a daily basis and what it meant to me.

Zizzi, thank you for this experience. I simply cannot wait to return again…So much so, that I’m planning another shopping trip to St Stephens just...
