Read moreComing from a holiday in Soho Chinatown, London I had a large appetite for Boba and chinese drinks in general. I was thinking of getting Crepes and Bubbles, however the quality of their pearls is kind of meh, with them not really having much flavour but their drinks being very tasty. I instead opted to try Bubble Ci-Tea as the setup they had looked similar to the setups they had in boba shops in Soho.
Shut this place down expeditiously. One of the worst drinks I've ever had as they dilute 90% of the drink with old stale water and the quality of the pearls is terrible. It's completely flavourless and an absolute ripoff. I wanted regular tapioca and they didn't have it. What sort of boba shop doesn't have tapioca? Instead of opted for cherry, however I was unaware that they would feel like waterballoons in my drink that just spit out an extremely uneasant artificial sour flavour. Their bluberry flavour drink was a weird looking diluted yellow and tasted of water that had been left out for days resulting in that old, almost dusty flavour.
Finally the ordering process is needlessly complicated due to being a vague menu and the staff weren't helpful with anything, simply just saying "we don't have tapioca" upon me requesting it and not offering any alternatives or anything.
This is genuinely the worst spot in Hull. Do not buy from here ever and please take your boba related cravings to Crepes and Bubbles and/or Rolls. I can't speak on Rolls as I have not had their drinks, however I can guarantee it is hetter than Bubble Ci-Tea as the bar is that low. However as for Bubbles and Crepes; it's not amazing over there, but it's pretty good and since it's priced the same as this waste of space, you might aswell take a 5 minute walk to get from there instead. Anyone who tried boba from here and thinks they don't like it, it's not the bobas fault, this place is just...
Read moreWent to the St Stephens outlet in hull and bought our very first bubble cites drink yoday. First of all the girl initially serving turned away two customers due to having no change in the till. Secondly, after placing my order the second girl there making the drinks just slammed my drink down on the counter and walked away from me, now I've been retail for over 20 and plus years and I know that customer service is key to retaining customers. I, for one, will not be returning as a customer to your outlet in the st Stephens centre in hull. I will also tell everyone I know about the poor quality of service. If the girl did not walk away from me then I will not be forced to write such I lengthy response about me visit. Please , assure this is just not a one off complaint, but the service was soon poor I need to voice my...
