I would recommend the Grand Central Pub to anyone looking for traditional British food, a short walk from the beach. The Grand Central is part of the Fuller's Pub Group, which has been operating since 1845. It is a lovely pub located opposite Brighton Station and a short walk from Brighton Palace Pier. The pub serves a wide range of drinks, including Fuller's favourites such as London Pride and ESB, as well as craft lagers such as Frontier. London Pride was named Supreme Champion in the International Beer and Cider Competition in 2000. The Grand Central Pub could be the perfect place to go if you fancy a traditional Sunday roast! Today is the start of summer in the UK, with temperatures reaching 26 degrees, and my friends and I decided to head from London to Brighton. The journey from London to Brighton is only 1 hour and 20 minutes on the Gatwick Express train. It was so hot today that we started our walk with a cold pint in the Grand Central Pub. I ordered a cold Guinness, which is known for its rich, creamy and balanced taste, making it a favorite among stout lovers. I also ordered a shot of Baby Guinness to cheer myself up. Baby Guinness does not contain Guinness stout. Its name comes from the fact that it is made to look like a tiny glass of stout. Baby Guinness Shot is a delightful combination of coffee liqueur and Irish Cream liqueur. It has a rich, full-bodied flavor with strong notes of coffee, complemented by notes of vanilla and caramel. The sweetness of the Irish Cream balances the bitterness of the coffee liqueur, resulting in a smooth, creamy and slightly sweet taste. It’s a fun and tasty shot that looks like a miniature pint of Guinness, making it a popular choice for parties and celebrations. My overall experience at The Grand Central was truly amazing and I would recommend it to anyone, whether you’re looking to dine, watch sports or just have a drink. Update 2 in reply to reply from venue: This was not the case.. One staff member was dealing with it, the other said No to the code.. neither attempted to try the code.

Update: After a review of 10/10 today I've had to drop to 1/10. When a customer has a promotional code issued by your company or a sister company, I would try in the till. I have had to refer this to the CEO office to get them to teach staff about promotions.

Being told yes by one staff member who took the time to locate the drink in question was nice. Being told by her colleague No we don't accept was a big disappointment.

To anyone who has codes issued by fullers on behalf of peroni, this venue doesn't accept them.

Old review.

I can be quite critical of venues, and fullers last time let the venue down. Staff dealt with it professionally.

So tonight is my 1st visit on fullers promo night. It was fun. Not for staff who worked tirelessly to sort out barcode issues and pricing issues. Mainly due to customers not reading what's included. Can't say simples (copyright lol)

So top marks to a team that worked tirelessly to serve customers as quick as they can. Don't wave or tap.

One customer said to barstaff about me, well he is waiting patiently. I work in trade and know what a thankless job staff do. Good bar staff know what customers drink and with my swan vesta hair colour, I'm not hard to remember.

So like rival venue All Bar One you...

We visited the GC today for the first time. I’ve been to Brighton many times but have never been here. Me and my wife had a two hour wait for our train after it started to get very busy due to a Brighton match. We ordered food which was exceptional. Very impressed and reasonably priced. The pub was rammed and one thing that really stood out is how the staff managed to stay focused and still maintain a lively, friendly spirit to the customers. I don’t often write reviews but I pictured myself in their shoes and how calm and collected they were band really respect the effort done bar staff really put in) I’m not sure if she was the manager but an Australian/South African lady (it was too loud to hear properly) was running the show. She didn’t walk past our table but we were waiting until she did to say what a grand job she was doing. Whoever you are!!!! Keep it up. That’s the mentality that crafts happiness in a bar. And that’s why we will now come back. One thing I would say is maybe find somewhere further away on a Brighton Hone game as there were quite a few intoxicated people complaining about the service. The place was stacked full for goodness sake. Give them a chance. Especially the imbecile blazing drunk lady sat next to us complaining about waiting 30 minutes for chips. Then swore at my wife for smiling...

Downstairs, ground level, is a dark foreboding place with steely-muscled bouncers who check you out and in. This is a Brighton pub where footie is the religion and wants no visiting fans. Want to pay 5 quid for a plastic skiff? Go for it. Upstairs is, in comparison, a cornucopia of partiness. Beer in glasses is served. Hurrah. But I was there for a friend's birthday. Its a great space for that. Otherwise, head to the Lanes and pubs there.

Not enough beer options, no porter, no stout. Corn fritters were not to the standard the price would suggest. The chicken burger was not a burger, it was more like a chicken sandwich so, it was all style really. The pie was also chicken and a little disappointing too. The place looks nice and interesting, the service was ok and it's very easy to get to from the station. Kid friendly during the day, but no high chairs or kids menu.
