Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was very busy as it was the Bank Holiday weekend.

It is a lovely spot next to the river, perfect on a sunny day.

Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. I opted for the Hallumi Fries from the Light Bites section and my elderly aunt went for a Ham sandwich.

Whilst my Hallumi fries were quite tasty the portion size was miserly! 4 small fries with a little pot of chilli sauce and a spoonful of salad for Β£7.45! Daylight robbery!

My aunt's sandwich was very disappointing- the ham had large areas of fat and really wasn't to her liking. The knife she had been given was so blunt she couldn't cut through the sandwich!

Her tea was as weak as a wet Wednesday! My coffee was the other extreme - so strong it was bracing!

The service was pleasant enough although we had to wait a while for cutlery after the food arrived and no one checked if all was OK with the food.

Food was very poor value for money, even given the prime location. A lovely place for a drink but I wouldn't go here...

The lovely location and the friendly waiting staff will draw you in - but don’t be fooled! This cafe will rip you off, we paid almost Β£20 for two cans of pop and two bland paninis that tasted like they had come straight from a primary school canteen. For the price we paid we expected them to come served with at least some side salad or garnish but they were on their own, slung carelessly into a plastic tray. The outside seating area is extremely cramped - social distancing is impossible and we were practically sat on the laps of total strangers. A shame that the owners are clearly trying to maximise footfall and profit over quality customer experience, as the welcoming staff and great location give it so much potential. A really...

Really disappointing experience. Lovely location and the staff seemed really nice (even though they were rushed off their feet and seemed understaffed), but there was no social distancing atall in the seating area and very overpriced. I paid Β£19 for 2 paninis and 2 cans of coke - the quality of those paninis was not worth a fiver, never mind the extortionate price of Β£8. The paninis were small, and lacked filling and the filling itself was cheap and poor quality. Most places that charge over Β£4 for a panini provide chips or salad, this cafe does not. You're better off getting a meal deal from a supermarket and sitting on the bench next to the cafe (so you dont miss out on the...

Ok let's be real, lovely location and very friendly staff however Β£25.50 for two single gins and two portions of fries. I was very confused! So to this day I'm still trying to do the maths and justify the prices but I still don't get it. I asked the server for an itemised bill to try and understand the prices but all I was given was a ticket with the drinks and no prices. Anyway we waited 25 mins or so and when it arrived it was disappointing to say the least. It couldn't be much more basic and apparently ketchup and mayo cost extra!? Again, nice staff but the owners should be ashamed. I smell a greedy greedy person in charge.

I arrived at The Moorings around 5pm, knowing that they were due to close at 5.30pm. I had cycled 9 miles to get there and was breathless upon arrival, thinking I would be turned away!! The staff could not have been more accommodating. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea and a scone with jam/cream. I was assured that there was no rush and to take my time and enjoy it. I sat outside, overlooking the stunning River Dee and soaking up the lovely early evening atmosphere. Couldn't fault it. Thank you so much guys (Pete?). I'll be back for more as soon as the poxy weather allows. LOL. Debbie. xx

Easter Saturday we popped in for breakfast. Friendly and welcoming staff, Sat down straight away and was given a menu.Ordered at the till and paid on ordering. Food came quiet quickly, and was very tasty indeed. Couldn't fault it. My husband had the full English, I had eggs benedict. Drinks were nice too. Fruit tea and coffee. It was a little on a the pricey side, however couldn't fault the food and service at all and ee like supporting local businesses. Thank you and we shall see you again soon on our next visit. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
