Tried catching food night several times but they were off for a while when the fryer died. If that was me I would insure the thing because it seems that everyone rates the food.
I love the place. It's run by the nicest staff you could ever hope to meet. Always a friendly greeting and greeting-farewell (that polite manners said as you pay and grab your drinks) so you feel relaxed very quickly there.
There is a lovely atmosphere in the building, and not the sort that ghost stories often originate from 😂
The drinks are very fairly priced and they have a dog friendly attitude. The crowd tends to be the more mature people. This is a good thing indeed!

Its located on Hodgson Street which is a side street off New Cleveland Street and wouldn't expect to see a pub there as it surrounded by industrial businesses.
It was a bitterly cold day when I visited so it was great to see they hade a lovely real fire burning.
