Haven't written a review in a long time, but I will have to say that this place deserved it for the best Yorkshire puddings I've had so far! Light and crispy! I tried their Sunday roast- lamb, beef and pork belly. Liked the lamb best, but the pork belly was done well too, with crispy crackling. Vegetables were also really tasty, and service was good. I found the lighting a little too dim even with the candle on the table, but no regrets visiting this place. Servers were proactive, prompt and polite. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Windsor, and it's just beside the Long Walk so after a meal one can take a walk...

Lovely and historic pub near to the start of The Long Walk and Windsor Castle. Great people watching and even better food and drink. The walls are teeming with relics of history and someone takes great care to write on a chalkboard the historic events of the day, which we appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed my gin and tonic served by the friendly server. I had the roast chicken sandwich with frites and my partner had fish pie. Both were delicious but most delicious of all is the Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard, which you should not miss! We loved this pub and look forward to returning.

We are Sunday lunch here before attending the Coronation Concert. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food delicious! I had the rib eye of beef, which was so tender. It was served with stuffing, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and carrots. The only negative was the house wine. We paid £9.50 per glass, but the measure of wine was small and it wasn't of very good quality. We would definitely return to this pub, but we'd stick to drinking pints.

If you are waiting to see the Royal Family as they come out of Windsor Castle, this is a place to try. The food they offer is nice and prices are not bad either. From the soup to the banger and mash, you can't seem to go wrong. The staff was super helpful, and we're as accommodating as they could. This place also offers a small little history lesson. As each day, they write on the chalkboard what happened that day in history. Stop in and say Hi and have a pint.

We had the time to take the short trip from our hotel by Heathrow over to Windsor. You have got to check this place out we had the Scallop and Chorizo sides and also I had the sea bass that was also just delightful - flavorful juicy and not dry with green beans and pan fried potatoes. We were worried as we didn't have a reservation and the place was busy but we're able to be seated. If you are in Windsor check this place out.
