I want to preface this by saying I do love Bill’s! My boyfriend & I went for Valentine’s, the man on the front was amazing! We ordered & starters came out pretty quickly & they were good but that’s where the good part ended. We sat & waited AN HOUR for our mains. In this time I watched another couple who came in WAY after us receive & finish their mains. As well as this, we were very aware that something had obviously gone wrong because 2 of the servers were stood right in our eyesight pointing at our table & talking about something, yet no one bothered to communicate the issue with us. Finally after the hour of waiting our food arrives, there was no apology for the wait or any acknowledgment that something had happened. My food was good but unfortunately my boyfriend had asked for his steak medium but it came out well done so it was just tough & dry. It couldnt be remade as they ran out of steak so they luckily provided us a refund for this meal but it still meant my boyfriend didn’t even eat his food. We both were very understanding that Valentine’s is a busy day & things go wrong but there’s a huge lack of customer service when the staff members refuse to communicate with you or acknowledge when something has gone wrong. We quickly paid & left despite the fact that we were planning to stay & have desserts, because we felt that we didn’t want to stay any longer after...

We arrived at Bills Brighton around 11 o’clock. We was seated at a table by a nice server who was very welcoming. Ordered food and drinks very quickly and we were very excited. After 10 minutes another 2 people were sat next to us who ordered food right away. Their food took 10 minutes to come out and we hadn’t even received our drinks yet. After another 5 minutes we finally got the drinks. 15 minuite for 2 smoothies (out of a bottle not fresh) not great.. especially as we are watching people eat next to us who had arrived after us. We waited an hour for our food (2 meals on the brunch menu. Mushrooms on toast and chorizo and eggs) and it was not worth the wait. My meal was a peace of cold bread with cheese and mushrooms covered in oil. I had one bite and had to send it back. It made me lose my appetite. The other meal was also not great. Covered in oil also. But my boyfriend ate it as he was so hungry and we waited an hour. The restaurant was quite busy but not an excuse for the poor service we received. We never once was told about the wait. We received the bill and thankfully they took one meal off but still added service charge which we immediately asked to be taken off. Will not...

Went to Bill’s in Brighton with my wife with the idea of having the well known Bill’s breakfast (at lunch time) but when I saw the Bourbon Burger I changed my mind. Don’t ask me why. I have to say that it was the best burger I’ve eaten in a very long time! Milles away from 5 Guys, Honest Burgers and those chains that think they make amazing burgers (they may did in the past but not anymore).

This burger was amazing not because the right mix of flavours (it was delicious, don’t get me wrong). It was amazing because the meat quality. Superb! I ordered it medium cooked (rarer not possible). It was perfectly cooked. It tasted as if the meat was just from a farm in Sussex! (Maybe it was…) It came with rosemary fries (nothing special, let’s be honest with everything).

My wife ordered Chicken Shawarma and again, nothing special at all. It could easily found at Wetherspoons… (very honest here)

We were served by Mars. (Standard Robot style serving…) The blonde girl who welcomed, sat and said goodbye and wished a great day looked truly honest and very friendly.

Next? We need to try those...

During my recent trip to Brighton we had a lovely breakfast at Bill’s, a popular chain of restaurants with over 79 outlets in the UK serving an all day menu. It all started in Lewes 18 years ago in 2000! Bill’s was bustling when we arrived with our large group on a hen do! The restaurant is split into two tiers and we dined upstairs. In the lead up to the booking, the communication from Bill’s was excellent and we pre-ordered our food. They were very patient with everyone arriving and a couple of people changing their orders! The brunch menu at Bill’s is extensive and includes pretty much everything you want! We kicked off with some prosecco and the bride had a special cocktail made for her which was really sweet. The hot chocolate with cream and a FLAKE was also amazing! As usual, the standard of the food was great and very reasonably priced. I love their 3 stack pancakes with streaky bacon (£7.95)! The eggs benedict (£7.95) and the Smashed Avocado on Toast with smoked streaky bacon (£9.45) were also very popular with the group. I definitely recommend a trip to Bill’s when you are in Brighton

Went here for a brunch on our first trip out to Brighton. The place looks great, very interesting interior decoration. We did book but were early and they were happy to have us in. Service from the staff was very good. The food, I had the bills big breakfast I believe and my partner had the vege big brekky. The food was fairly good, our only complaints were that the fried eggs were probably a bit too on the runny/underdone side and the baked beans seemed very watery. Also a bit odd that my toast came with butter but my partners did not. My partner liked her juice she got but my cappuccino was very average. I would have assumed they were using fresh milk but it tasted like long life/shelf stable milk and I don't think the person who made it knows how to make a real cappuccino, as the one I got was basically just espresso mixed with milk with a thin layer of foam on top, which was quite disappointing. It didn't taste good, and it wasn't a cappuccino. Otherwise the rest of the food wasn't too bad.
