Went to Bill’s in Brighton with my wife with the idea of having the well known Bill’s breakfast (at lunch time) but when I saw the Bourbon Burger I changed my mind. Don’t ask me why. I have to say that it was the best burger I’ve eaten in a very long time! Milles away from 5 Guys, Honest Burgers and those chains that think they make amazing burgers (they may did in the past but not anymore). This burger was amazing not because the right mix of flavours (it was delicious, don’t get me wrong). It was amazing because the meat quality. Superb! I ordered it medium cooked (rarer not possible). It was perfectly cooked. It tasted as if the meat was just from a farm in Sussex! (Maybe it was…) It came with rosemary fries (nothing special, let’s be honest with everything). My wife ordered Chicken Shawarma and again, nothing special at all. It could easily found at Wetherspoons… (very honest here) We were served by Mars. (Standard Robot style serving…) The blonde girl who welcomed, sat and said goodbye and wished a great day looked truly honest and very friendly. Next? We need to try those burgers in London!!

During my recent trip to Brighton we had a lovely breakfast at Bill’s, a popular chain of restaurants with over 79 outlets in the UK serving an all day menu. It all started in Lewes 18 years ago in 2000! Bill’s was bustling when we arrived with our large group on a hen do! The restaurant is split into two tiers and we dined upstairs. In the lead up to the booking, the communication from Bill’s was excellent and we pre-ordered our food. They were very patient with everyone arriving and a couple of people changing their orders! The brunch menu at Bill’s is extensive and includes pretty much everything you want! We kicked off with some prosecco and the bride had a special cocktail made for her which was really sweet. The hot chocolate with cream and a FLAKE was also amazing! As usual, the standard of the food was great and very reasonably priced. I love their 3 stack pancakes with streaky bacon (£7.95)! The eggs benedict (£7.95) and the Smashed Avocado on Toast with smoked streaky bacon (£9.45) were also very popular with the group. I definitely recommend a trip to Bill’s when you are in Brighton

🌟🌟🌟🌟 - This joint hits the mark across the board! Some may dismiss this place because it's a chain, but they do everything pretty good regardless! The staff 🧑🏽🍳 are very attentive and proactive and the overall vibe is pretty sweet 🛋️ with loads of plants and quirky decor on the walls I went for the set menu, and opted for the 2-course set up. Although there is a 3-course to choose from too. Or you can add a third dish afterwards if you wish. Nice to have that flex. For my starters I went for the dumplings 🥟 - the portion serving was very generous! 👌🏽You'd get a couple more dumplings than other places. The dip that came with it was nice, although I think something slightly more on the acidic and less thick side may be nicer. For the main I chose their breaded chicken caesar salad dish 🥗. It came with a really well presented bed of lettuce 🥬, grated cheese 🧀 and a ramekin of caesar sauce. Overall pretty good if you want a safe bet!

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely brunch here on a chilly Sunday morning. We had booked online and were pleased to do so as the restaurant was full throughout the meal. I ordered a cocktail and although it was delicious, I had to slip it very slowly as there was only about a mouthful in the glass at the cost of £7. We ordered our food and it came in good time. The meal was very tasty and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection! Still, I felt it was a little over priced for £13. My friend ordered the banana smoothie which she wasn't aware contained a shot of espresso. She took one slip and hated it. After we received the bill we asked the server if he could remove this item and he was very kind and did so without any hesitation! I liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant and would come again. The staff were lovely and all said goodbye on our way out of the restaurant.

4 of us went there yesterday (Friday) at around 4:30 in the afternoon so the restaurant was nice and quiet. The service was friendly and the gentleman serving us was very accommodating and pleaseant, which is what the 2 stars is for. However, we ordered a cheese fondue sharing starter, along with a couple of other starters which were ok, but the cheese ‘fondue’ sharing starter was absolutely appalling. Can’t believe someone thought it was ok to serve it to us like that, the presentation was awful. A very small amount of cheese inside a small cob like roll, with 4 chunks of bread to dip in the cheese, and that was pretty much it! You couldn’t even use the ‘salad’ to dip in the cheese as it was all cut the wrong way and the watercress and cucumber was so limp. Charging £13.50 for what we were served was disgraceful. Will not be returning again.

Our visit to Bill's in Brighton for a birthday brunch was delightful overall. Although there was a slight wait to be seated, it didn't detract from the experience. We opted for the brunch pancakes, which were both tasty and satisfying. The drinks were notably smooth and fruity, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. Our experience was made even better by the friendly waitress who served us. She was incredibly accommodating, ensuring all our needs were met and even surprised us with a birthday dessert. We regret not catching her name, but her attentive service left a lasting impression. Overall, our first visit to Bill's was thoroughly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning soon. The combination of delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a place worth revisiting.
