We had a great stay here. Damien was superb as a host and made us feel very welcome. He even gave the kids some colouring books and pens to keep them entertained during our stay. The room we had was huge. Plenty of space for the four of us. We had sky tv in both the double bed room and the twin room. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. The kids love having a bath so it was a nice addition to have one.
We had a couple of issues whilst we were there. First one was a toilet roll that was left for us had some sort of stain on it. We mentioned this to Damien and got us a new one right away and apologized for it.
There were a couple of other minor issues that we didn't mention but there were a couple of marks on the bedding and the toilet seat kept coming loose on the fitting meaning we had to keep putting it back on.
WiFi was good in the room. Nice views out of the windows. It's a top floor attic room. We didn't hear any noise from the bar however the seagulls do make a racket in the morning lol.
We had a really nice stay though and Scarborough is a lovely seaside town to visit. Damien even recommended a place to have breakfast in the morning.
The atmosphere in the pub seemed very welcoming and the guests were really friendly. We're not sure on how drinks were as we didn't have a drink during our stay but I did see that the pub has traditional ales which is right up my street.
Thank you again for a pleasant stay. The hotel is in a great location as well for both the north and south...
Read moreThe reason I am giving this score is because it is what it is. A cheap standard place to stay just to sleep, this is the only reason and the fact that we was here for a few days, it’s pub where the locals can have a drink and right in the middle of town. The room was a nice size, with a double bed which was big enough, TV with sky channels, an en-suite bathroom. The room could do with an upgrade, my opinion could do with a very deep clean. En-suite bathroom was a bit small and needed a bit more care with regarding toilet roll holder was hanging of the wall. The door up to the rooms from the pub should have a lock, it has private on it but not secured. You are given a key for the main entrance and for your door to your room. Which means you are having to go through the pub to get to your room. Also this does not do breakfast. The staff who greeted us was pleasant and was happy to hold our case because our room...

AVOID|I booked a room for myself and disabled wife for Saturday 5th, when the conformation came through mistakenly, It had been booked for the SUNDAY 6th.||I tried ringing the number provided to explain and cancel the booking but no one answered on several occasions so I left a clear precise message.||Following this I did get a phone call, finally at 8pm on the Sunday night, I explained the situation to the gentleman and he said fine and appologised.||I then get an email that I was being charged for a "No show" so rang the hotel. again, to be spoken to like a child by a guy who talked over the top of me and wouldnt listen to what I had to say.||If this is the attitude of staff here I think we've had a lucky escape "not"...
