Old Bank House Chocolate Shop — Restaurant in Great Britain

EDIT: I wanted to add to this review to say that the response from Old Bank House Chocolate shop to my original review was excellent, and showed fantastic after sales customer service. I'm grateful they have taken this seriously and will try to ensure this type of thing doesn't happen again to others. I also should add that in my original review I did miss out that I also bought some white chocolate truffles from here (and although the shop assistant told me they aren't made in house) they were extremely tasty.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have an allergy where I can't have caffeine, which means no milk or dark chocolate. I can however have white chocolate as this contains cocoa butter which has no caffeine in.

I explained this to the shop assistant and they told me the pink truffles were white chocolate. I was really happy and excited to get them, only to get home (couple of hours away from the shop) to find they are dark chocolate centre and so I can't eat them.

Very disappointed in the bad advice...

I don't normally write reviews but after reading a negative review from a day ago I just felt I needed to. My visit to this lovely shop was the exact opposite of what the other reviewer experienced. On walking in I was immediately greeted by the two ladies working there and offered samples of chocolate buttons which I can highly recommend. I spent some time browsing but didn't feel under pressure to purchase and as the weather was so hot I enquired what time they closed and was told 6pm. I duly returned at 5.50 and even though it was close to closing the lady couldn't have been more helpful and I bought a selection of chocolates from the cabinet (of which we have now eaten most) and would highly recommend the dark chocolate creams and alcoholic truffles. I will definitely be visiting this shop again on my next trip...

The chocolates are amazing and the customer service is second to none! I visited with my partner back in April and we thoroughly enjoyed the selections of truffles. So much so, when deciding what to get him as a treat for his birthday, I was thrilled to find they also delivered! I got a little too excited by this finding, and ordered the chocolates far too early for his birthday. I emailed them to explain my situation and they very kindly said they would delay my postage. Not only that, they also emailed me to let me know the status of the postage the whole time, and let me know of upcoming mail strikes that might affect the delivery. Thank you Old Bankhouse, the chocolates arrived perfectly and they were very much enjoyed! I could not recommend them more, worth...
