We reserved the venue for my son’s birthday party, and I must admit, I wasn’t completely sure about it at first. However, once I went to view the space, I was pleasantly surprised — it turned out to be absolutely perfect for what we had in mind. We were planning a small, intimate celebration, and the venue’s cosy atmosphere suited that perfectly. We chose an African buffet menu, and I must say, the team went above and beyond our expectations. Ndumiso was incredible, he guided us through the menu planning process with thoughtful suggestions that we truly appreciated. The chef even offered us a taste of their Masala chips, and from that moment, we were completely sold! I have honestly never tasted chips that good. That one bite told me everything I needed to know,we were in the hands of a truly talented chef. As the saying goes, “you eat with your eyes first,” and this couldn’t have been more true. The food looked absolutely mouth-watering, smelled divine, and was impossible to resist. Every dish was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. My personal favourites were the beef stew, grilled beef and chicken, mac ’n’ cheese, and of course, those unforgettable Masala chips. It was a true feast, exactly the “food overload” we were aiming for! To top it all off,we were able to connect our own music to the venue’s speaker system, and after the meal, the staff kindly dimmed the lights so we could enjoy the dance floor. The booking process was smooth and friendly. I appreciated the efficient communication and had the opportunity to visit the venue in person, even though the staff member that handled my booking was unavailable at the time. The venue itself was lovely, and the customer service during the initial stages was welcoming. The food was enjoyable, though it was clear that the business was still in its early stages, as we were frequently informed that the cocktail menu would be available "next week." Despite this, my initial experience was positive. However, on the day of the event, the staff appeared uncertain and unprepared, giving off a “what do we do?” impression. During the booking process, I was informed that the hire was from 6 PM to 2 AM with no exceptions, and I proceeded with the deposit based on this agreement. On the day, the terms suddenly changed, and I was told the party would have to end at midnight unless I purchased two or three bottles, totalling over £200 PLUS. I have visited here a few times now. I had my brunch and the food and coffee was really good down to prices... I was also here a few times for the DJ night that they hold on Friday evening for my pre-drinks and to start my night right. I must say they always deliver. The DJ plays a good blend of music and it is a true vibe, I found myself looking forward to the 'cocktail of the week' from the amazing bartender.
