Visited during a 40th weekend break away. We did a lunch service and had not been to anywhere like this before. I opted for the unlimited salad bar as im not much of a meat eater but love salady things, while my husband went for the unlimited meats. We both had mocktails which were delicious, summer breeze and don't talk about Bruno, if I remember correctly. I have to say that I know it says online that the evenings have a bigger salad bar offering but I was pretty disappointed with the lunch time offering. I had googled pictures before hand and honestly the lunch service was tiny compared, which was super disappointing! Some nice bits to choose from and I enjoyed what I had but it was a bit of an anti climax and my plate was pretty much the same things on my second visit. The cheese bread that our waiter bought to our table was so good though, I ate even my husbands share! We also got a portion of fries and you can ask for more if you want. My husband enjoyed the meats he was offered. Not everything came around but he still had a mixture, his favourite was the pork, and least favourite was the lamb as it was just a bit too pink for his liking. Often they would approach the table even if his card was red which was a bit annoying. I had dessert which was churros and they were nice but did lack any cinnamon sugar, however, the dipping sauces were lovely! All in all, this place was just ok. It wasn't bad by anymeans, all meats were tasty and tender and our waiter was friendly and welcoming, but we also wernt blown away and don't feel like we want to rush back. If we did decide to try again, we would go for an evening when there is likely more salad selections and more of an atmosphere too.

Read moreRio Brazil in Chester promises an unlimited meat experience, and my family and I recently visited to celebrate my son's birthday. We had a reservation for 1:30 PM, but we were seated promptly upon our early arrival, a smooth start to our meal. The concept is a familiar one for a Brazilian steakhouse. You're given a two-sided card—green for "yes please" and red for "no thanks"—to signal to the roaming servers whether you'd like a slice of meat from the skewers they carry. The staff explained the process and menu pricing clearly, and when we mentioned that one of us prefers meat well-done, they assured us it wouldn't be a problem and we just needed to ask. The salad bar was a definite highlight. It was well-stocked and everything looked fresh, offering a nice variety of sides to go with the main event. Unfortunately, the main event itself fell short. Despite the initial assurances and the menu's promise to cook meat to your liking, getting a well-done cut proved to be a constant struggle. We never received a single well-done piece. This was a significant letdown, especially since we were told to simply let the waiters know. We also noticed that servers would often carve for only one person at the table and then walk away, even when everyone at our table had their cards set to green. Overall, our experience was just average. The unlimited meat concept is great in theory, but the execution didn't quite match our expectations, particularly regarding the meat preferences. While the salad bar was excellent, the issues with the service and the meat meant we likely won't be returning. It's also worth noting that a 10% optional service charge is automatically added to the bill, so be sure to check...
Read moreWe went on a Tuesday at midday and was greeted by a friendly Niamh, she showed us to our table and explained how it all works. Throughout the meal Niamh was very attentive and made sure we had enough to drink or whether we wanted more bread/sides. Both Niamh and Joshua were very polite and chatty, we had a good chat with Joshua when we paid the bill. Each and every passador was polite and one even asked if everything was alright with the meats etc as I turned my card red for a while (I get full fast), he asked if there was anything specific we wanted and I heard the passadors ask this to a few others too which was nice. We were given some cheesy bread rolls to start and Niamh brought more around later aswell as some chips and peppercorn sauce (we weren't a fan of the chips compared to the salad bar options).
Our favourite meats were: the Pichana steak and the spicy sausage (though we couldn't see the spicy sausage on the menu so we worried it wasn't there - it was!)
They have a dessert menu which I wish I asked about before I got a bit more full, but I did try the Panna cotta. Very heavy on the coconut and although it's a light flavoured dessert I did feel extremely full after as it's very creamy (in hindsight I should have got sorbet). Overall we paid around £80 for two meals, three soft drinks and a dessert, the value of this was completely worth it to us. Definitely one of the higher price points for us but it seems much more of an experience than just a sit down meal and it also depends on how much you can eat for the price. We will be coming back here and really hope that it sticks around! We had a wonderful time and have been telling all of our...
