Went to Chester yesterday with my flatmate and we were thinking of having breakfast, the idea in the beginning was to pick up a coffee with something like a brekkie from the Maccies, but I said NO not this time. Let's find a local place and support a small business rather than a giant.

We went online and this place was the first on the list, we were a few mins away from it, we read the reviews and check all the photos, everything looked tempting. We found it and we looked from outside and it was a bit empty just a few customers in, we got in a wonderful girl received us with a warm welcome and invited us to go to the courtyard, that area was gorgeous and there more friendly members of staff. We got a table next to an unusual but very creative design to have your plants, you will see the picture. Anyway to the mission, A PERFECT 5 🌟 BREAKFAST: Eggs cook to perfection and tasty. Best homemade sausages I have tried for ages. The bacon was absolutely gorgeous Mushrooms delicious The tomatoes were juicy and tasty Toasts excellent quality. Coffee very hot and lovely taste. Orange juice fresh and cool And the big jug of cold water was the icing on the cake for me.

As soon as we started the whole place was fully booked with lots of locals 🙌🙌🙌 I would not expected less than that for a wonderful place.

I highly recommend this place if you want to have a 5 🌟 for everything: service, quality, food, customer experience, clean.

Hands down to all of you...

Firstly, there is nothing wrong with thr place, the service was great, and the place was absolutely immaculate. The food and drink was average at best. I had the cooked breakfast which had individual elements cooked well, but as the bacon and sausage were cooked on a grill rather than in a pan, it left charred areas that tasted slightly burnt. That's great on something thick like a steak but not on something thin like bacon. For the money, I would expect toast to be on better bread - honestly it was just basic thin to medium white bread, and again, average. The coffee looked like murky water which is odd considering it was freshly made, and whilst it was likely made with decent beans, it was very weak. One of my daughters had a toasted sandwich (which incidentally looked very good), one had egg on toast and my wife had a slice of cake. Considering my coffee came with the breakfast, and we only ordered 2 additional drinks (my eldest wanted tap water) the bill was about £36.

Ultimately there was nothing wrong with anything that we had - it was fine, not great, and ultimately I think the price is a tad steep considering this. Its a shame as I was really looking forward to going, and with the choice in Chester, I will likely go somewhere else before...

Had the worst weak latte here ever... warm skimmed milk devoid of coffee taste, so had to ask for another shot (charged for) Also, avoid the Alpine Rosti - undercooked & overpriced for what was essentially uncrisp potato which easily went into mash, topped by 2 rashers of bacon & a fried egg and not the delicious Rosti it used to be here. Won't return - particularly as the waiting staff were rude and unhelpful when I queried my concerns. Also avoid sitting outside in warmer climes - the kitchen door and extractor fans smell (plus staff smoking) are to be avoided. We fled indoors when the neighbouring noisy & distracting handball lunchtime...

The last breakfast in Chester before heading home and once again NOT disappointed with finding another little gem of a place. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Fresh and hot. The sausages are local and were delicious. My partner opted for the mixed berries on toast (I think it was blueberries & strawberries) and throughly enjoyed hers. If I stayed here for another week. You would have had to role me to the train station. If you are looking to start the day off with a cup of tea/coffee and a good breakfast 🍳. Try this out. Well worth it. Very clean and the staff were really friendly, chatty and most accommodating.
