Costa Coffee Chester Grosvenor — Restaurant in England

Will not return. Waited for an absolute age in a queue to the door, 6 staff behind the counter, only one taking orders, two of the slowest “baristas” making the drinks, I thought to myself they must be training, one turned around and she was the Manager! One girl, when asked to make a tea, stood in a trance with a teapot in hand waiting for further instruction. One other lady toing and froing filling up marshmallows etc ignoring the queue, I counted 5 customers walking out. Finally got our drinks, food not ready, so went to sit down, no cup on tray for tea, had to go back in to retrieve food and a cup. Hopeless service all round. Have been several times, never had good service. Thought we would give them a final chance today, wish I hadn't bothered. There are plenty of tables available, had to ask for a table to be cleared, then asked for it to be cleaned, you would think I asking for something out of the ordinary. Waited in a queue for 27 minutes! For a coffee a tea and 2 cakes!! Before leaving I attempted to use the toilet, I couldn't believe it when I got there, I then needed a code to use the toilet, the code apparently was on the bottom of my receipt, which was impossible to read as the person serving me had spilled coffee all over it. This had to be the most disappointing Costa I have ever been to. Waited so long for staff to finish their chatting before buying served. The toastie I had was so unappealing and lacked any real filling ,as did the other 3 products I bought for my children. The waiting time for the toilet was horrendous and staff did not seem to care about customers experience at all. Tables were sticky .
