Ahh the plotting parlour.

This place really cannot be beat for cocktails! And, seeing as I fancy myself as a bit of a cocktail connoisseur, I knew I had to check this place out.

What can I say? This place was absolutely divine! I'm a massive fan of the cocktails at Merkaba, and I've been told this is where the bartenders from Merkaba go for drinks, so it must be good right?

The Bartenders were happy to make tasty virgin cocktails for my boyfriend, who doesn't drink, and to be honest they looked just as splendid as the alcoholic versions I had!

I'll most definitely be going there again... I feel like it's one of Brighton's best kept secrets!

We had a really awful experience with this bar. It started off great. They found the four of us a table and the cocktails were great. However one of us accidentally dropped a glass on floor. This was because the edges of the table had an odd and not flat edge. She went to put it on the table and it fell off. We didn’t think this was an issue at first and apologised. However 10 minutes later a female staff member came over with our bill and asked us to leave because apparently we were all drunk! They clearly thought we were drunk enough not to realise they had doubled the amount of drinks we had on our bill. After a lot of complaining and trying to fight our corner as to why they continue serving us, they ‘corrected’ the bill and insisted we leave. None of us were drunk, we were enjoying the cocktails and the atmosphere. Now because of that customer service experience, we wouldn’t visit again. We would only recommend this place if you sit there in silence and don’t enjoy yourself, and also don’t mind staff trying to get one over on you and doubling your bill because they ‘think...

This is the best cocktail bar in Brighton. The quality of the drinks is really high and their signature menu is so so good. It’s a clever combination of friendly and stylish. Last night for some reason the service was a bit slow. By which I mean the waiter didn’t come back to us when we’d finished our drinks so in the end we decided to leave rather than have a second round (which we were keen to have) because we waited so long it got too late to have another one. The people at the next table had a similar problem - they tried and tried to get his attention and also got up and left in the end. Also the waiter forgot to bring our water for quite a while and also didn’t bring the olives we’d asked for. I have never had this kind of problem before here so I guess it was a dodgy night. Always in the past it has been friendly and efficient and I still highly recommend this place as the best drinks in town. If I hadn’t had this experience last night it would have been a clear five star review. The drinks themselves are still definitely five...
