The Vault — Restaurant in High Peak

My chicken burger was definitely cooked in oil that was a few days old, it was dire. I couldn't eat it so let my mate finish it, and coincidentally we were both vomiting and diahrretic this morning, so we won't be going again.

The main reason our party of 11 will never be going again and suggesting the same to our friends, though, is that staff seem to love just walking past you when you say "Excuse me" to them, and get annoyed when politely asked "I didn't order this, please could I have what I ordered?" but seem to really favour other customers who speak to them like they're garbage. Maybe that's what we should have done instead of being polite, I dunno.

My husband and I visited the vault last night on the off chance we could get an evening meal. We weren't disappointed we had a very warm welcome when we arrived from the bar man and made to feel welcome. Iam a wheelchair user and I found it very easy to get around in there. The food was very nice and importantly it was piping hot. The food and drink is very good value for money. I can honestly say I loved everything about the Vault. Absolutely amazing, lovely rooms! Great for an overnight stay. No problems whatsoever as we had what we needed. Just be aware though, it’s just the basics , so no hair dryer or iron which we were aware of, but one resident didn’t read her email and thought her room would be fully equipped! These rooms are above the pub, but ear plugs are provided upon entering your room. Staff at The Vault Pub were lovely, but they are nothing to do with the rooms.
