Came here on Sunday the 16th of march , the staff were not very friendly right of the bat, we ordered our pancakes and sat down, Shorlty after one of the staff members called out to us to say the card payment hadn’t gone through, we went back up to the counter feeling a little embarrassed and presented the card again, but this time the total bill was higher then before and they charged us an extra £5 oddly. We then Checked the bank and 2 payments had come out one for £43 and one for £47! We had to go back up to the counter again and wait for a manager to refund us, they did the refund but said it would take 3 working days to go back into our bank!! No apologies were given and no real explanation of what had happened either, and not everyone can afford to wait 3 working days for almost £50 so they really should be more careful when taking payments. This, then put a real dampener on the afternoon while we sat and waited for the food to come out, cause we felt awkward and a little annoyed by how we had been treated. Mistakes happen but it’s how a company deals with it that really matters and that’s the part they really let themselves down on. Now we have not even received our refund they actually refunded someone else by mistake!! I have tried to contact them via social media but they were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot!! I have emailed the store directly on Thursday the 20th and still had no reply 4 days later!! We will not be returning here again. I can see on other reviews this has happened to others so you really need to implement some staff training asap. Customer service should be number 1 and your customer service was diabolical to be honest. The fact you are also uncontactable is also a massive problem and very frustrating. We will now have to dispute this with the bank and show them the evidence of the refunded receipt to prove that you have made an error and hope we get our almost £50...
Read moreWe visited for lunch yesterday and ordered the creme brûlée and Nutella banana pancakes, a latte and a raspberry lemonade. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was good. I was very surprised that ice cream didn’t come with the pancakes and was £2.00 a scoop extra. When you’re paying £9.00 for pancakes alone, you’d think one scoop of ice-cream would be included. The raspberry lemonade was tasty - but for those with children, be warned, it’s made with whole raspberries, so the drink has a gritty texture from the seeds. The latte was good. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes, but we both agreed that they were a bit bland - could do with maybe a little bit of salt for contrast. The brûlée pancake, I was a bit disappointed in if I’m honest. The custard tastes just like tinned ambrosia brand custard. I was expecting more of a creme anglaise with vanilla seeds for the money. Service was around 20 minutes and I found it strange that they asked if you wanted to tip at ordering point?! The food was ok, but nearly £30 for 2 servings of pancakes and 2 drinks, not particularly good value. It was a place we wanted to visit, will we return? Probably not. The other point that we noticed, was at only 2 days open, the yellow walls had scuffs on already - so maybe the choice of paint may not...
Read moreI cannot recommend Fluffy Fluffy Pancakes Liverpool enough! I used to visit this gem regularly when I lived in the city two years ago, and now that I’ve returned—it’s still just as incredible, if not better.
The food is absolutely amazing. Every pancake is perfectly light, airy, and melts in your mouth. They’re a little cloud of happiness on a plate! Whether you go for the classic options or something more indulgent like the matcha or Nutella combinations, every bite is worth the hype. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into each dish.
But what really sets this place apart is the staff. They go above and beyond every single time. From the warm welcome at the door to the genuine care they show throughout your visit, you truly feel looked after. Even when it’s busy, they never rush you and always make sure everything is just right. Their friendly, helpful attitude makes the whole experience feel special.
Coming back after two years, I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my memories—but it completely exceeded them. It’s rare to find a place that stays so consistently brilliant. Fluffy Fluffy isn’t just a pancake café—it’s a little slice of joy in the heart of Liverpool.
Can’t wait to come back again...
