I saw this place online and thought it would be worth a try since it’s something different in the city. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I went for the food, but the service was just as good. Connor, who served us, was fantastic—he really knew the menu, which helped a lot since I wasn’t too familiar with the food. He explained everything really well and even told us the best days to come back for Nasi Lemak, which he highly recommended. He also mentioned we could help ourselves to their complimentary sweet soup, which was a nice little extra.

The food was fresh, full of flavor, and had all the right textures—especially the paratha bread and curry, which was spot on. The menu has a really good selection, and it’s definitely left me wanting to come back for more. The lady who I think was the manager was also lovely. We had a nice chat, and she gave us some great recommendations for next time.

The atmosphere was really nice—classy but still relaxed. The pricing is also great. For one starter, two drinks, and two generous portions of food, the bill was just £39, which is really good value.

The staff were a good laugh, really attentive, and approachable. The food is solid, the prices are fair, and the whole place has a great vibe.

10/10, would...

A Delightful Malaysian (Chinese Asian) Culinary Experience in Liverpool!

Finally!! One of the best dinners we have ever tasted in Liverpool! From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of rich spices and sizzling dishes set the tone for an unforgettable meal.

We ordered: • Egg Fried Rice – Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning (for me 10/10 taste) • Prawn Salted Egg – A standout dish with a creamy, flavorful salted egg coating that complemented the fresh prawns beautifully. (best meal for me!) • Beef Rendang – Tender beef infused with aromatic spices • Laksa – A bowl of comfort, filled with a rich, fragrant coconut curry broth and perfectly cooked.

While the food was exceptional, there’s always room for improvement. A touch of cozy lighting could enhance the restaurant’s ambiance, making it more inviting for diners. Additionally, an audio surround system playing soft background music would add to the overall dining experience, creating a warm and immersive atmosphere.

Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic flavors. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! 😁🙏🏼 - Prakasa Family...

Kopitiam Sentral, located at 1 Upper Duke Street, Liverpool, L1 9DU, serves up bold, authentic Malaysian and Singaporean flavours in a relaxed, no-fuss setting.

I had the Sambal Four Heavenly Kings (£13) — a standout dish with a fiery, tangy sambal made from garlic, shrimp paste, and spices. The mix of aubergine, okra, long beans, and petai was perfectly cooked and soaked up the sauce beautifully. Full of depth and heat without being overwhelming.

My friend went for the Buttery Salted Egg Chicken (ÂŁ12.50), which was equally impressive. Crispy battered chicken coated in a rich salted egg yolk and butter sauce, with curry leaves and chilli adding a lovely aromatic kick. Utterly indulgent and packed with flavour.

We also shared a side of Fried Soft Noodles (£5.50), stir-fried with crunchy beansprouts — simple, comforting, and a nice contrast to the richness of the mains.

Portions were generous, the staff were friendly, and the food came out piping hot. Easily one of the best Southeast Asian spots in Liverpool — can’t...
