If you like food from the Indian subcontinent, this is absolutely a restaurant you should visit
Came on a very quiet sunday night with 3 friends and had a very good meal.
We started off by sharing a portion of deliciously crispy kurkuri bhindi (spicy okra chips) and two portions of samosa chaat (Punjabi samosa with chutneys, yogurt, chickpea curry).
We continued to mains sharing a very nice masala dosa (rolled up fried bread filled with spicy potato with a side of dips), an English curry house special (mixed veggies in tikka masala sauce, Bombay style potatoes chickpea curry and naan bread) and a Thali curry (vegetable kofta with a creamy dhal, raita dip, samosas, Thali vegetable kofta with dhal makani raita samosa, pilau rice and a fluffly laccha parantha). Everything was incredibly tasty and well presented, portions were good size abd the amount of bread for each main was enough for all of us to share. It's difficult to say what the best dish was, the dosa was excellent but the Thali curry was very good too. It was my first time trying okra chips so also particularly enjoyed that!
The only thing that let me down was dessert - I asked for a Rosepetal, walnut and pistachio gulab jamun (icecream), but what I got served looked more like cheap strawberry, chocolate and vanilla icecream, can't really tell if it was just bad icecream or they didn't actually served the right flavours. In any case, it was underwhelming and would not recommend it.
Service was corteous, a bit relaxed but we were in no rush. The waiter was kind and offered us a glass of Port wine on the house at the end of the evening.
We had 660 ml bottled beers to drink and spent about £120 in total (£30 per person). I would definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food. The bathroom was also clean and tidy when I visited, which is always a plus. The restaurant entrance is in a small alley and a bit disguised by a columnade which only adds to the feeling this a hidden gem in the...

We went in for an early lunch over the weekend and had a very disappointing meal. When we arrived, we sat at our table for a good 10mins with no one attending to us or offer us any water. Finally had to call to get attention. It wasn’t busy, we were the only table occupied!
I don’t mind paying for a good Indian meal and have done so before in London but the food here was below par. We ordered masala dosa, chicken dosa and thatte idli. The dosa seemed to have been overcooked to the point that it was hard like “padad/poppadum”, but maybe its the way they make it here. The chicken however, definitely did not seem fresh at all. My assumption is they were reheated from frozen/night before. I did not eat any of it. I was hoping to give this feedback directly to the waiter when they came to take the plates away, but they didn’t seem concerned that all the chicken was left as is.
The weak service continued even with the dessert. We ordered the dessert that they themselves recommended is their best (gulab jamun cheesecake), but 5mins later they came back and said they have ‘run out’. Not sure how that happens at the beginning of the day in an empty restaurant. We then ordered the brownie instead. When it came to our table, they casually left us with no cutlery and vanished. We waited again and had to fetch the person to get us some spoons, by which time the ice cream had melted etc.
My assumption is given its location in the city close to offices, this is probably one of those places that do well with lunch crowds on weekdays. And maybe thats partially why our weekend lunch was so disappointing.
For the price per dish, the food is weak/bad, service is much below par and overall experience...

We visited this hidden spot in central London to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish!
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The ambience was cozy with beautiful lighting and soothing music playing in the background. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but what truly surprised us was their tasting menu — just £35 (+£4 for dessert), which is unbelievably affordable for central London. We expected the portions to be small at that price, but they were actually very generous!
We started with drinks — the spicy lime soda and pomegranate lassi — both were incredibly refreshing.

We were served by Abadur, who was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our meal. A special mention to the team who surprised us with a birthday cake, sang a birthday song, and made my friend feel truly special. It was such a sweet gesture!
Overall, the food, service, atmosphere, and value were excellent. Highly recommend this hidden gem tucked away between tall city buildings a must-visit for food...
