Tucked into the heart of Leadenhall Market, The New Moon is a hidden gem spread across three characterful floors, each offering a unique experience.
Upstairs, The Brasserie at The New Moon is a real highlight — not just for its elevated view overlooking the buzz of the market, but for its seasonal menu that consistently impresses. Expect thoughtful, well-executed dishes made with fresh ingredients. Specials are a regular feature, so it’s worth asking what’s off-menu — recent standouts included a rich côte de boeuf and a beautifully cooked cod served with a butter bean and ’nduja stew. The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing.
The main bar opens directly into Leadenhall Market and is always buzzing. It boasts a great selection of beers and ales, perfect for the after-work crowd or weekend wanderers. It’s popular, lively, and well-run — a solid spot whether you're just grabbing a drink or staying longer.
Downstairs, the Cellar Bar offers a more relaxed, intimate vibe. With chilled lighting and a curated cocktail menu, it’s ideal for unwinding with friends or sneaking in a quiet drink away from the city bustle.
