I went here because I had a hankering for jellied eels and was keen to find a local source for my shop. Customers weren't as keen on the idea, despite how good these are, but it's still my preferred place to buy them.
Barney's will take advance orders for most things you might need, so it's worth putting a call through to make sure you can get what you need when you want: they're busy and good stuff will go fast.

Read moreExcellent, I am a regular now! They have products that are very hard to find in London (at least in this area) and at very good price. The smoked salmon is both cheaper and much (like, much much much) better than the one in the high street supermarkets.
The fresh products are great (fresh salmon fillets, skate, langoustines, scallops - real big and nice scallops!). Of course the fresh products selection available on the day is very variable - which is a very good sign! Don't hesitate to ask the staff for anything as sometimes they have stock available but it's not on display. Also, you can order in advance, check their website.
