I had a deeply disappointing experience with Eggslut Canary Wharf via Uber Eats, and I feel compelled to share this in the hope they address their operational inefficiencies. I placed an order expecting the high-quality service one associates with a reputable restaurant, but instead, I was left waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes before my order was finally cancelled.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of consideration for online customers. Every delivery partner assigned to pick up my order was told to wait because the kitchen hadn’t even started processing my order. Why? Because they were prioritizing walk-in customers over their online orders. This approach is baffling and unprofessional.
If Eggslut cannot handle the volume of orders they receive, the responsible action would be to temporarily close online ordering, as many professional establishments do. Instead, they allowed me to waste time waiting, with no proactive communication or updates from their side.
What Eggslut fails to realize is that many of their repeat customers are likely those ordering online, not just the ones visiting in person. Ignoring this customer base and treating online orders as secondary is a short-sighted strategy that will alienate loyal patrons.
I sincerely hope the management at Eggslut Canary Wharf takes this feedback seriously and implements better processes for handling online orders. Until then, I cannot recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable and professional...
Read moreWe arrived there around 11am on a bank holiday, and there wasn't anyone queueing up, after grabbing a couple of menus and sitting back down, a bunch of people spawned from nowhere and created a queue of about 15 people. We decided on a Fairfax, Pork Romesco and truffle hash browns.
When the buzzer rang I went to pick up the order and as I picked up they were just starting the Fairfax. I love this attention to detail because the Pork Romesco took the longest to make and because they were busy they were making scrambled eggs in batches so it was really quick to make.
The cooks were impressive, never panic, not shouting or yelling. The constant stream of tickets didn't shake them. Only two of them working, 1 cooking and the other dealing with customers, occasionally swapping and when they got a break from customers, absolutely smashing the kitchen service.

Read moreA banging bit of breakfast in Canary Wharf!
Came here after seeing the good reviews, and I wasn't disappointed!
I went for the Sausage & Egg. The mrs went for the Bacon & Egg. Hash browns for the side.
Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection, I had an explosive egg yolk which luckily went towards my hand. Being a bearded guy it would've been disastrous if it went in the facial furniture. I'll maybe ask for my egg to be cooked a little longer to avoid the possibility next time
Obviously be prepared to pay 'London prices' for food here. This breakfast cost me around £24.
Will return again to try something new next...
