It has taken me a while to gather up the words to describe my experience here. Having booked a private room and dining experience for my birthday , weeks in advance , I was expecting an impeccable experience. I had visited the venue and kept in contact with the organisers via email to ensure a smooth dinner party for me and my guests. Considering this isn’t a cheap experience , I was expecting the utmost care and service. We had previously agreed on a menu with individual choices for the guests , this was repeatedly confirmed to me by the organisers. I was asked to give a seating plan with names and allergies of guests. Upon my arrival , I was told to place the name cards myself , despite having given a seating plan . As we sat down , I had managers and waiters running up to me telling that suddenly they didn’t have the food we had previously agreed upon and that there was some sort of mess up in the menu . The food service was delayed by half an hour, with the same course being brought out at very different times for all guests. It was then either over cooked, undercooked, or the wrong meal generally . When it came to ordering the cocktails and drinks , instead of coming up to each guest and asking for what they’d like, the waiters asked us to raise our hands as they listed the cocktails-something completely disastrous from a 5 star establishment . Later, seeing us obviously unhappy with the experience , the waiters offered us a complementary shot of limoncello - but only on the condition that we each left a 5 star review in front of them mentioning their names and exceptionally service ( none of which was our experience). Hearing this condition we refused the “complementary” aperitif and opted to continue with our night . As we were wrapping up , instead of coming up to me, the host and informing me that our night was approaching an end , the bright lights were suddenly turned on and we were told we had to urgently leave. At this point of the night I had no energy or interest to fight over the service or the bill , seeing as it was my birthday so I acquiesced and we left having paid the entirety of the bill with the mandatory gratuity . I wouldn’t recommend this for private events, while it may be good for a meal with few guests, the organisation and price of hiring the private room and menu did not equate to the quality of our experience. I was severely...

Nice place, right atmosphere if you are celebrating something nice and very recommended for couples, unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the food, and I am very picky about certain things. We had dinner here last Saturday for my birthday, very nice staff, the two girls at the entrance immediately wished me well as soon as I arrived and then walked us to our table. We ordered some Vitello Tonnato as a starter and rosemary focaccia that had very little focaccia about it. Let's say it looked more like thin pizza dough rather than focaccia which normally is thicker. For the main course, I had tagliatelle with wild boar ragù and my partner a slow-cooked steak that was accompanied by mashed potatoes that we had replaced with fries since she is lactose intolerant. The veal tonnato was okay, although the tuna sauce was almost nonexistent and the whole thing was very bland. For the second course there was a misunderstanding between the wait staff and the kitchen who sent us the steak with mashed potato instead of with fries as we had requested, however the girl who was serving us immediately came to the table to apologize and tell us that they would prepare our dishes again ; shortly afterwards our dishes arrive, with a not so long wait that makes me a bit doubtful about the preparation time of our dishes. My pasta was good but not hot, just a little bit in the center where it had also stuck together a bit, again lacked salt and the plate was cold, the steak was very nice and tasty but again not warm enough. At the end of dinner, I received a vanilla ice cream ball with the candle on top and then with happy birthday written with chocolate on the plate , very nice of the staff. At the end of service I felt like leaving a little more tip than what was already included on the bill because the waiter told me that the service does not go to them or only a small part of that. Nothing special there is lot of room for improvements, I expected a little bit more for the price I paid, so in my opinion this restaurant is a bit overpriced for...

I was really looking forward to celebrating my husband and I anniversary. I pre booked using open table. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were met by a lady who was front of house, who had totally overlooked the welcoming attitude that was probably in her job description but refrained from using it. Once we were seated, we had to wait for another server to ask what brunch we wanted. This was explained to us three times as the music was so loud. The live singer was amazing but completely wasted as it was so loud. No one could hear anything. We were shown the area to go to for the salad, fish and cold meat selection. This was also where they kept the cold lasagne meat and vegetarian version. I told the waiter that the lasagna was cold and I don’t know if you could hear me but I was ignored. They never came round to remove dirty plates or cutlery, even when asked. A couple sat down next to us and they were prominently met with the same lack of welcome as we were. But lucky them, they got water spilt over them and not an apology or a napkin was had. The food is bog standard but your table will be crowded with used plates, so be prepared. The servers were quibbling amongst theirselves the whole time. If you asked a particular server to remove crockery then she would wave at another minion to do the job. Let’s say ALL the staff had no intention of letting the customers have a relaxing enjoyable event, whilst at their establishment. All I ask is if I go out for dinner to celebrate an event in my life, I trust the servers to make my time...

We were on our way to Mayfair and we called the last-minute audible, and then ended up at one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to in London. @Bocconcino had everything that you want in a Soho Italian restaurant the veal Milanese was thin and crispy, the homemade pizza was fresh out the oven, the DJ was playing that music you love, the crowd was great, the interior design was amazing, everything about this place was on point. Highly recommend checking it out when you’re in London. 🍽️🍝 #food #italian #london #restaurant

The interior of the restaurant was lovely - stylish and thoughtfully designed, which made a great first impression. However, £18 for a few cherry tomatoes with buffalo cheese felt excessive, especially considering the portion size. The rest of the food was decent, but nothing that really stood out. A rather odd moment was when my friend’s small bottle of water, which was on the table, was taken away by the staff with the promise to keep it for her - only for it never to be returned. While the restaurant seems to aim for a fine dining experience, the details let it down. There were quite a few fruit flies around, and at one point a server (in a suit) actually had to catch one with a napkin while serving food - I had pointed it out, but still, not what you'd expect. Our waitress was pleasant, but service was quite slow, particularly when it came time to pay. When we asked to split the bill by exact amounts, she seemed visibly annoyed, which was disappointing. As we left, neither of the two hostesses at the front acknowledged us - no goodbye, no thank you - they were too busy chatting with each other, despite clearly seeing us leave. We did pay the 13.5% service charge, but honestly, it didn’t feel earned. While some dishes were enjoyable, overall the experience didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t return. There are plenty of other places offering better food and service for the same price - or less.
