Just going to start off by saying my experience at this restaurant was genuinely terrible I have no idea how it’s rated so highly. Me and my friend went here for brunch and as I was waiting for my friend to join me I was seated near the bar on an extremely uncomfortable seat. Queues are long and the place is noisy so be aware of that before visiting. I went at 10am and the place was already packed. There were some more comfortable seating options but only for those who reserved a table so beware they’ll give you a really shoddy space if you don’t reserve a table. Next the manager and the employees kept repeatedly asking for when my friend would join me. She arrived 15 mins after I went in but as the shop had a policy that they can only hold a table for 1 hour (absolutely ridiculous) I got asked 3 separate times about when my friend was joining me it was extremely grating. Then came brunch. These pictures of the food might look good but I found shells throughout my scrambled eggs and had to pick at least 5 pieces out of them and my friends avocado toast was so tough she only ate about 50% of the dish. The French toast however was good. Got a caramel latte which was also terrible and I only had half of the cup. After all of this my friend wanted to order a cappuccino before we left but we basically got kicked out by the staff (again only allowed to stay in this restaurant for an hour) and charged a service charge! Absolutely ridiculous to bill a service charge when the service was terrible, you only let customers stay for 1 hour max and the management in general is rude. I didn’t want to be impolite so we paid the fee but we will absolutely not be returning here. It’s clear that they care more about profit than providing customers with a good service and this place is not for you if you want to have a relaxed brunch experience with...
Read moreI decided to visit this place after seeing it recommended on Time Out. When I arrived this afternoon, I asked for a table for one. The manager, a South Indian man in his mid-thirties, informed me that they were fully booked and only had seating available at the bar. I agreed to sit there, but noticed two empty tables and another that was about to be vacated. I then asked a female staff member if it would be possible to be seated at one of those tables. She said she would check and get back to me.
Instead, the manager returned and offered me a different high table, which was not the one I had requested. I accepted and moved to it. However, just a few minutes later, I saw two customers walk in without a reservation and get seated at the exact table I had asked for.
I approached the female staff member to express my concerns, but the manager came over and spoke to me abruptly. When I pointed out the inconsistency and stressed that customers should be treated fairly, he responded, "I manage the restaurant and tables, so I decide which customer goes where." He then asked if I was going to order food or not, at this point It was evident he was unhappy that I had called out the issue.
Ultimately, I chose to leave without eating, but I wanted to share this experience so others might reconsider before visiting this place. After reading the last four 1* reviews posted in the past three weeks, it seems I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience here.
As an alternative, I highly recommend 'The Breakfast Club,' which is just a few minutes away.

Read moreNot sure why this place got a high rating of reviews but I would AVOID going to this place! AVERAGE FOOD with terrible customer service. People who worked there were very disorganised - my group and I had to ask 4 times about our tap water before they finally served it to us and before our food had been served, 3 different servers came to our table to ask us to pay or to ask us if we were ready to order. Also, they did not give us the correct number of cutlery and we had to ask for it. Not to mention that at the end of our meal, we did not even receive our bill so we could see what we were charged - a server just approached us and asked us if we were ready to pay. When we said we would pay separately they asked us if we wanted to split equally which I thought was a bit presumptuous considering they didn’t even give us the bill- I felt they were being pushy that I didn’t clock that we didn’t get our bill!! Oh, also - they couldn’t find my booking on their system but thankfully they were still able to seat us - although I’ve had to keep the receipt just in case they charge me as being a no show. In hindsight, I regret paying the service charge as they shouldn’t have received more of my money considering the poor service!!! I ordered the pancakes and it arrived cold. Defs not worth the £18+ I paid for it....
