I strongly suspect that this company commit tax evasion and fraud on a regular basis and I have no other way of describing my experience with them as being a victim of theft. I will start with the worst part of my experience first. The prices on the menu seem steep enough as it is but reasonable for the area, however after having ordered 2 £10.50 breakfasts & 2 teas and walking away from the counter realising I had just parted with £34 something didn’t seem right. My partner and I looked at the menu and added up our order realising that we had been steeply overcharged, we were met with incredible rudeness and hostility when we queried this and were pointed to the small print on the menu which states that VAT and a service charge is added separately. Skipping some details here, we cancelled our orders and asked for a refund. This establishment already screams ‘shifty’ with its “we much prefer cash payments please” sign at the till, enforced by the despicably mannered cashier making sure you definitely don’t have cash to pay with. If you do choose to use card it is taken away from you where you cannot see what is happening and handed back to you to enter your pin and no receipt is given. Whilst my ‘refund’ was being processed, I could not see what was being done with my card and I was asked to put my pin in and again not given a receipt or proof of refund but ensured everything had been completed. I decided to check my online banking and lo and behold I had in fact been charged TWICE, our breakfast that we cancelled had now cost me £70. I called my bank at this point who were appalled and suggested I go back in and get a cash refund and to contact them if this was not granted and assured that they would take over and deal with the company directly if needed. Finally, this request was granted and I walked away with the cash refund and the money still coming out of my account. Some of the smaller details I have missed out are that we were lied to when we asked to speak to the manager, the cashier telling us that she was in fact the manager and later another member of staff telling us that the manager was not in that day and apologising for how rude the cashier (claiming to be manager) was ‘because she is new’. After ordering our breakfasts and way before all of these problems occurred I went back to the till to add some juices to our order (which I paid for with cash) and was met with a “what do you want now?” I also had eyes rolled at me when I asked for eggs to be well done. After all being resolved we asked for the name of the lady who helped us (who we were actually going to praise) and the name of the cashier and were flatly refused being told “you don’t need to know that” and we were begged to not write a review. I would never forgive myself for not writing a review! In hopes that people will read it before going here, which is something I have kicked myself for not doing as I have realised my story is one of many on here who have experienced the same and I honestly am gobsmacked that this place is even open. DO NOT GO HERE, and above all do NOT hand your card over. I have cancelled mine as I do not for a second trust what has gone on. This place is preposterous and it will not surprise me if the owner ends up in prison for fraud and tax evasion one day. Don’t be fooled by this flowery Instagram spot!...

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the City: Toi & Moi Café

Toi & Moi Café is an absolute delight—a place that feels like a warm embrace from the moment you step inside. Tucked away in a charming corner of the city, this café has quickly become my go-to spot for everything from morning coffee to leisurely brunches and intimate dinners.

Ambiance: The ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and chic, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The interior is thoughtfully designed, with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful décor that exudes warmth and elegance. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a quiet moment alone or catch up with friends, Toi & Moi Café offers the perfect setting.

Food and Drink: The menu is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that burst with flavor. The breakfast options are a dream—perfectly cooked eggs, fluffy pancakes, and avocado toast that is simply to die for. The lunch and dinner offerings are equally impressive, with a variety of salads, sandwiches, and entrees that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences.

Their coffee? Exceptional. Each cup is brewed to perfection, rich and aromatic, making it the ideal pick-me-up at any time of day. And don’t even get me started on the pastries—flaky, buttery, and utterly irresistible. Pair one with a latte, and you’re in heaven.

Service: The staff at Toi & Moi Café are the true stars. Friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your experience is nothing short of excellent. They strike the perfect balance between being professional and personable, making you feel like a valued guest every time you visit.

Overall Experience: Toi & Moi Café is a gem that stands out in the crowded café scene. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s an experience. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee or settling in for a long, leisurely meal, you’ll find yourself returning again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a café that delivers on all fronts—food, service,...

Review of Toi & Moi, London

Toi & Moi is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of London—a culinary sanctuary where every element is crafted with love, care, and an attention to detail that is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped by the warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly balances sophistication with comfort. The ambient lighting, tasteful décor, and soft, melodic background music created a setting that was both intimate and vibrant.

But what truly set our experience apart was the impeccable service, led by the remarkable Hoss, our server for the afternoon. Hoss went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was flawless. His knowledge of the menu was impressive; he guided us through the diverse selection with genuine enthusiasm, making recommendations that were perfectly suited to our tastes. Hoss was attentive without being intrusive, always there when needed but allowing us the space to enjoy our meal in peace. His friendly demeanor and sincere passion for his work elevated our afternoon to something truly special.

As for the food—where do I even begin? Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chefs at Toi & Moi clearly have a deep understanding of ingredients, skillfully combining them to create dishes that are both innovative and comforting. Whether you're a fan of bold, adventurous flavors or prefer something more classic and refined, Toi & Moi’s menu has something to delight every palate.

In a city overflowing with dining options, Toi & Moi stands out not just for its exceptional food and stunning atmosphere, but for the kind of service that makes you feel truly valued as a guest. Hoss, in particular, turned our meal into an unforgettable experience, and we left the restaurant not just satisfied, but genuinely uplifted.

If you’re looking for a dining experience in London that combines exquisite food with outstanding service, Toi & Moi is the place to be. We’ll certainly be returning, and we’ll be...

Don't go here! It looks like a cute cafe with its cutesy flowers and cutesy name, but looks can be deceiving, I guess. Major disappointment from the get-go - I wanted to eat-in, but the staff pretended to misunderstand me when I asked (🚩), then told me to go sit at the counter next to the door. Not great, but I understand I'm just one person and that's what's available. You order at the counter, and pay an undisclosed service charge (🚩). I got a sausage roll and a mimosa (my fault - there was no pricing on the little paper stand advertising it (🚩), but I wanted to give them benefit of the doubt and really try what they had to offer). It came to £20ish, which feels a bit pricey (🚩), but I didn't dispute it. When my food came, it was plopped in front of me rather carelessly - it felt like the plate was being slammed down (🚩). The sausages were awful and tasteless, like vegan food (🚩). To their credit, the roll was soft and the spinach was reasonably fresh. Though tasteless, the egg was nice and runny as well. The mimosa was terrible (🚩) - I've never quite seen one with separation like this, and it tasted mostly like flavourless sparkling water, with no hints of citrus whatsoever. Even if it's not stirred intentionally, the pour should allow the orange juice and champagne to mix, no? It was unlike any mimosa I've had before. Soon after my food arrived, I watched the guy behind the counter greet and seat these two girls next to me and take their orders. He was super nice and courteous with them, asking if they needed anything else, even joking with them. I was shocked by this difference in treatment (🚩). Lastly, I watched one of the other staff stand at the door, trying to talk people into having breakfast at the place (🚩), even though they only had outdoor seating left. Super weird, and it really ruined the ambience for me especially, since I was sitting right at the door. All in all, it was a mediocre breakfast, worsened by the lack of hospitality I experienced.
