Bon's Cafe — Restaurant in London

I can only speak from my experience, and I am loathed to write a generally negative review, but I would have preferred to have had my Saturday morning breakfast elsewhere, and reviews can hopefully help others build a picture.

I ordered an English breakfast and an orange juice. The man who served me wasn’t rude, but had earphones in and seemed genuinely disinterested.

My OJ came after ten minutes, but my breakfast didn’t arrive until half an hour after I had ordered, and the cafe was almost empty.

It came out and looked ‘pretty’ with all of the spices, but was generally bland.

The worst bit about it was the bacon - I wouldn’t even call it bacon. More like an alternative of sorts. The sausage wasn’t fantastic, but not bad.

The mushrooms were actually good.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it or go back there. My bill came to £21.45 which I wouldn’t have minded paying for a great breakfast, but this was just disappointing.

Once again - this is just my experience of the English breakfast. Maybe the other food is good.

I went in there this morning to ask for some tissues as an elderly gentlemen took a fall and slit his head very badly. The person working there refuse to give me more than a tiny napkin, refuse to give me a plaster or first aid kit, even though I explained someone was bleeding really heavily. He told me he could not see it and not his problem, I should just call an ambulance ( which was already done). I never leave reviews but could not believe the level of pettiness and lack of care from this employee. I'm not sure if he thought there was anything untoward with someone asking tissues but the fact that I had to beg for some without success is completely mind boggling. Hope he never needs assistance from people such as himself....

The food quality is good but consistency, service and level of professionalism are disastrous. The first time I went here my shakshuka came in a rich tomato sauce and with beetroot artisanal bread (yummy). Two months later, the shakshuka had little tomato sauce, was too oily and came jn with white bread. The staff visibly hates each other and gets into verbal fights whenever there’s a little bit of stress. The trash accumulates quickly during a rush hour and is visible all over. The toilet is a mess.
