Came here with some friends for a quick dinner on a Friday evening before heading to a jazz bar nearby. I had expected it to be quite busy at 7:30 but it was surprisingly empty so we managed to get a table at the back easily. Waiter was friendly too.

We ordered via the QR code they have assigned on all the tables with a number provided for your table so you can order online and pay. There's also the option to not pay the service charge so it's definitely good to know.

We went with the shredded pork vermicelli noodle bowl with salad, the pork belly vermicelli noodle bowl with salad as well, and my friend got a hot Vietnamese coffee on the side. It was an interesting way of marinating the shredded pork with lots of black pepper and spring onions, as I had never tried that in other Vietnamese places but I really liked the flavours coming together with the pork. It was slightly misleading with the picture on the online menu as I saw some spring rolls in the bowl for this specific item so I was expecting them but there were none. Nonetheless I enjoyed it on a hot summer evening as it was refreshing with the salad and lukewarm noodles. The coffee was very strong and smooth too, which is exactly my personal preference. My friend mentioned the pork belly wasn't really belly meat as the fatty bits were missing but overall she enjoyed her meal too.

It's definitely not the best Vietnamese place I have tried so far in London but it's one I am happy to revisit if I am around the...

It’s been over a week that we slid into Caphe House just around 8 pm hungry for a sumptuous meal. I can still recall the tastes of what we dined on. The Vietnamese prawn summer rolls and raw papaya salad we started with were fresh and crunchy with herbs, the prawns were steamed just right and the dipping sauce was perfect. The hits of lemongrass then lime then a little anise from the papaya salad whetted our apetite for more! (My guests and I gobbled the rolls so fast that we didn’t even think of a pic.) For mains one of us had the spicy prawn vermicelli pho and two of us ordered the seafood pho. Both served in generous bowls that we were unable to finish!!! The pho stock was so flavourful and most fragrant yet light, it was a slow revelation of flavours from herbs then lime then star anise and lemongrass and a hint of garlic. My guest who has travelled to Vietnam several times was delighted with this authenticity at Caphe House. Our seafood pho had lots of pieces of tender squid, several tasty fish balls and just 2 prawns albeit large ones. Please next time add a couple more prawns in your beautiful bowls of goodness. The manager Nicky and our server Vivian (hope the spelling is right) made us feel so welcome, our next visit is...

First of all, thanks for the few days when I was on holiday in London. I just stayed at Premier Inn near the the Caphe House and accidentally found it on tripadvisor. My family came there for breakfast almost everyday and really loved their food, which is amazing and fresh. The staff were super friendly and helped me as I was confused about the menu.

We had 6 people with my parents, 2 kids but they served so quickly. We were in London for 2-week holiday, and back to Hongkong already. We went for breakfast the last day before going back Hongkong to enjoy the food and say goodbye but we were shocked because the curly hair guy refused to serve the food. I went to the shop first to order some food during waiting for my family to come later. It was at about 8:35am and they opened at 8:30am. We just wanna have some traditional Pho but he seemed not want to serve. Although the other days we still came at that time and other staff were happy to serve. We were quite disappointed at the way he behaved because we intend to introduce Caphe house to our friends. However, I still recommend Caphe House for anyone who loves traditional Pho...

2021 March I’m updating this review and I’ve never done this but I have just had the best salad of my life! I don’t remember the salads tasting as good when I went to Vietnam even! So fresh and so much flavour!! Good size portion so much value that it is worth the money, that’s what is great about this place the value they bring, quality fresh food and flavours and good portions and warm friendly service, there is a lot to choose on the menu and I ordered on my phone and was easy! Thanks for all the joy. I’m now going to order more regularly and start ordering their coffee rather than at other coffee places on Bermondsey street, so I can support a local business. 2020 - Great and healthy tasty food, so glad it has reopened! I ordered online post covid and it was so easy and food ready when I got there, very friendly staff smiling and polite, thank you :-)
