Update 20/10/19: Having seen the petulant response from the proprietor, that's confirmed my view of this establishment as one that doesn't take customers seriously. 19/10/19: We would have loved to stop here but the staff couldn't tell us if any of the delicious looking cakes and pastries had nuts in them (my partner has a mild nut allergy). Staff seemed exasperated and impatient at our questions which contributed to a feeling we weren't welcome. I'm disappointed I missed out on a sausage roll but was surprised to learn the cakes and pastries are bought in from a third party. The fact the manager couldn't lay their hands on an ingredients allergen list is worrying. This is in breach of food safety regulations so not sure if I'd want to eat at an establishment that is this cavalier about the health and welfare of its customers.

I ordered a take out matcha latte, it is the worst matcha I have had. I suspect that they are serving culinary grade matcha instead or ceremonial grade as this has a fishy taste profile that is unusual and at that is 1g of matcha at best for ÂŁ3.50. I have had much better matcha in many places to the point I felt that chapter 72 should receive some honest feedback in light of the competition around them on Bermondsey street. From my experience they should use 3-4 grams of matcha powder for a 350ml matcha latte, obviously this has cost implications but just adjust your margins but serve a better product. This should get a better and richer taste, hope this is useful. With the taste of the matcha latte as it stands I will not be revisiting.

First date location and have been coming back ever since! I know a lot of people have said it before but this really is the best Espresso Martini in London. The espresso martini range is a beaut, my particular favourite was the tiramisu before it was taken off the menu (I'm begging you to bring it back). My now boyfriend's (great first date choice by him) favourite is the apple pie margarita. It's really nice that they'll adjust some of their recipes by substituting in oat milk as we're vegans. Service is always great and we always tip because they show us a top notch evening every time. Prices are very reasonable especially compared to local bars. We love that it's a coffee shop/cafe during the day too.

If you’re looking for a place that serves not only amazing coffee but also wraps you in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this coffee shop is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly, genuine staff who make you feel right at home. Whether you’re grabbing your regular morning brew or settling in for a relaxed afternoon, the vibe here is cozy, inviting, and full of good energy.

The coffee is seriously top-notch—rich, smooth, and expertly crafted. You can tell they care about quality with every cup they serve. And if you’re craving something to eat, their pastries are absolutely delicious—flaky, fresh, and perfect alongside your latte. For something more filling, don’t miss the on-the-go paninis. They’re pressed to perfection, packed with flavor, and ideal for a quick but satisfying bite.

But the best surprise? Their cocktail menu. Yes, a coffee shop with cocktails—and they do it right. The Porn Star Martini is a standout: balanced, bold, and dangerously easy to love. It’s the kind of drink that turns a casual coffee run into a spontaneous evening out.

Whether you’re here for a quiet moment, a catch-up with friends, or a cheeky cocktail after work, this spot delivers every...

Popped in with friends after meeting at London Bridge; the place has super friendly staff and great decor. Had a cappuccino which was made with my choice of milk (they have a full range of non-dairy which is great). My friend, visiting from New York ordered a cocktail (a first in a coffee shop I'm sure) it was an expresso Martini & she said the best she'd had in London; we found out from talking to staff that the owner and designer of the drinks menu is an award winning mixologist and it shows! My cappuccino was also spot on. In my mind this place stands out from the coffee shop crowd, the food and juices on offer looked top quality and staff told us that these are all fresh pressed/made and delivered daily; the cocktails and coffee are set apart as far as was our experience by the quality of ingredients and the knowledge & passion of the staff. Yes, prices are as you would expect in this part of town but worth every penny when you consider that this is a lively, passionate and friendly independent working streets ahead of big Corperate competition that's pushing great places like this out. If you love great coffee, good food and world class cocktails I suggest you make this place a...

We came on a Sunday afternoon, after reading the fantastic reviews. The place is really nice and lively with nice music and a nice atmosphere. However we are very disappointed by the host who was just rude and made us feel uncomfortable from the beginning. We had our laptops out because we wanted to answer to some e-mails having a nice Sunday lunch with some coffee. We ordered food for the both of us, alongside some drinks. The host came to us and asked us to put them away since they are busy on Sundays, which I understand and respect, but we weren't the only ones with Laptops, there were free tables and the fact that she came with that attitude before we had even received the food and drinks we had already paid for, set the tone badly. Completely understand had we been there for a long time, but she came to tell us off right after seating down. I then asked her if it would be ok to have them out whilst we eat and she then proceeded to say. "Yes, but I will time you". Needless to say that this was completely rude, and made us feel like we should hurry and go. We left very disappointed right after...
