Once and last time at this restaurant. I visited 3 Capote y Toros Ltd on Brompton Road, London, and was very disappointed by the poor management and unprofessional, confused staff. From the start, we felt unwelcome as new customers.
The waiters seemed offhand and , mostly because of the poor management who was — rude and unprofessional. We were shocked to be charged £13 per glass for house wine, which is absurd. The food was very average; nothing special at all. The so-called Spanish tapas consisted of basic items like bread and tomato, with no real quality to justify the price.
What truly ruined the experience was the manager raising his voice and arguing with us over a simple request to move us from an outdoor to an indoor table. And offered using the bar which was messy and not clean !!The customer service was offhand , humiliating, and completely unacceptable — especially given the restaurant’s location, which deserves much better.
This was my first and definitely last visit. Overall, I rate this place zero stars. A complete...
Read moreJust a money trap. My wife and I had a reservation but when arrived my wife was feeling sick so we had to leave. We were charged a no-show fee (despite showing up) for the equivalent of a 4 people party. I discussed this with the restaurant staff and they didn't have any way to return the money immediately. We had to send emails that took them days to respond and in the end they only reimbursed us half the original 4 party no-show fee.
0 interest in their patrons. A waster of time and money. Portions are also incredibly small and too over-priced. The menu online didn't match the current prices.
This restaurant is part of a larger company "Cambio de Tercio" (all their restaurants are together). Do not go to any of these places. They are an absolute waster of time and money. You'll be better off buying prosciutto and cheese in a store and...
Read moreOf the three (or is it four?) places owned by the same guy on this street it’s Capote Y Toros which stands out as having the best ambience. Yes the obsession with bull fighting comes across as a little strong (imagine an English restaurant in Spain peppered with images of cricket) but its heart is in the right place. The live flamenco guitar adds further depth, as do the genuine and helpful staff. I tried a few sherries here and found the whole experience thoroughly refreshing. We didn’t eat here but we should have done. My Spanish fiancée even gave this place the thumbs up,...
