An unusual usual, this City of London alley street pub has a classic pub look & excellent, always loaded London street drinking space. The vintage large central window looks into a cosy old front snug space in front of a narrow room with a square central bar. The vintage character is lost to late 20th century modern wood bar & panelling. Low value modern flower drop wall lamps gallor sit under a pattern papered ceiling, over a strange tartan carpet. There's high & low seating with some good perimeter seats for a male heavy crowd of work mates. There's a good use of mirrored walls to widen the feel of the space & good tune to match an eclectic team, though lacking the spirit they look. It's not what it could be & the vintage character & style is lost in misinterpreted modernisation.

Fairly small pub on a relatively quiet road, so attracts outdoor drinkers. Bigger than it looks once inside - wood panelling and many mirrors help the illusion. Shepherd’s Neame and guest beers, plus traditional pub grub. Staff are friendly and efficient. As others have said, it’s looking a little ‘tired’ currently so probably warrants 3.5 stars - so my rating is a little on the downside.

Great Pub, good selection of Drinks, Service is really fast and friendly. It is a popular Pub but isn't too busy, which is great 😎 I didn't try the food, but the Guinness is great 🙂 Well worth a visit 👍

What a hidden gem of a pub!

If you’re passing around the Bank area it’s worth a detour as the staff are some of the nicest friendliest people especially Jorge who will make you laugh and always recommends the best beers but saying that the whole team are outstanding.

If you’re there waiting for a mate etc they are so friendly you’ll forget you’re alone and waiting for a friend.

A great pub, great staff and a great beer selection… I mean what more can...
