This is so much more than just an ordinary coffee shop on a high st
…With so many beautiful aspects to enjoy..
..its almost impossible to articulate the “soul” of this place without having to experience it for yourself..
I believe it takes a level of “maturity” to appreciate what this place has on offer.
The food is fresh & insanely delicious with so much to choose from.
The Coffee is rich and I often order an expresso just to take in its aroma.
The staff are full of life, love and care for their shop & customers and often leave me with smile.
The seating arrangement is homely, relaxing and provides comfort (all I want to do is relax here)
The cleansiness is always on point!
& don't get me started on the seasonal decorations, art thats ever changing, on display throughout the entireshop ( make sure you explore and go down stairs on your visit to see the extraordinary art on display if that's your thing )
Simply put, It's a place with “life” flowing through it.
..a place that gives you more than a caffeine hit..
It's a place that gives you an emotional, mental and perhaps even spiritual boost when and if you need it.
All I can say is, if your ever in shoreditch..
Come and experience this place for yourself.
Coffee really...
Read more'Coffee Matters'- where the staff have a serious lack of brain matter. Next to these miserable staff, Greta Thunberg would even look bright n cheery. The baked goods looked dryer than a buddhist monk, and coffee tasted like the flavour was enhanced by a Tesla litium-ion battery. Only consume if your oral linings are made of corrosion-resistant material. Furniture arrangemnt is perfect for the creation of a comical cartoon scene where the miserable cup-juggling staff get tripped by customers' leg, sending full boiling cups 5 feet away to the lady with immaculate makeup (now covered by traces of coffee). Want more comical values? there are enough annoying childern who take pleasure in making this happen. What an interior design marvel ! "Coffee matters".. if you truly believe this, do yourself a favour and go next door where the staff make you feel more human.
Update (in response to owner): Thanks for taking the time to reply. Since you simply created a distraction from the real issue and made zero efforts to address the poor-tasting coffee (whether it was an odd occasion or a common occurence), I have changed the rating to one star. Best wishes, and hope your miserable staff learn some customer serving skills and enjoy the work more than they...

This is not just a coffee shop/caffe. This is a place where I go almost every day before or after work for a peace of mind. I love that feeling when I just pause during the day, when I can collect my thoughts, and just simply be in present moment, when I can refresh my mind and soul with a cup of hot drink, gaze out of the window and observe the world.
I became friends with the owners and staff, they are incredibly friendly, they know me by my name now, they know my exact order and my needs. I feel valued as a customer and acknowledged as a human being.
I love that their menu that has plant-based options which as a vegan I appreciate, with gluten-free options too. Their matcha latte, which is my favourite, is made exactly as it should be according to Japanese tradition. I am also gluten free and their vegan and gluten-free banana bread is just sublime! And as a bonus-it’s sweetened with agave syrup so no refined white sugar. It’s hard to find a dessert that is healthy, vegan, gluten free and actually tastes nice.
Going to Coffee Matters is a my little ritual and my little place of...
