I was really excited to have a coffee here and I always walk pass it (when it's closed) and I made an effort to get there today when it was open! And I definitely believe in supporting local coffee shops!!

However, sadly what I had was not appropriate. I understand you need to train your staff, but please do so by making coffee amongst your colleagues or if you're giving it to a customer, for free/discounted (if the customer wants it). The coffee I had was not as hot as it should, watery and a bit on the stronger side.

Given this was my first visit, I was unfortunate enough to be in part of an unexpected training session where I paid the full amount for. Such a shame as I hoped my experience would be better.

Please don't do this again when training new members of staff.

EDIT: After being contacted by Holy Shot Coffee, they have agreed that this should not have happened under any circumstance and have rectified by providing the same order again free of charge. Thank you for understanding and taking the time and effort to listen to your customers - not all shops are as humble as yours. Hopefully this attitude continues with the future growth of Holy...

The coffee is great but I think it is overpriced. On top of that, I was very surprised this morning when I didn't get a free coffee after buying 1kg of coffee beans. It is probably the only coffee shop in the area that doesn't give a coffe for free after spending 34£ in beans. It's a pitty but definitely I won't be coming back.

**This a reply to the Coffee shop's response: Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have given 3 stars because apart of the fact of not getting a free coffee with the beans, I honestly think your products are overpriced. And I hope you understand I am entitled to give the review I believe it's fair and true from my point of view. I have addressed the query about the free coffe with one of yout waiters but I didn't get any explanation apart from that you don't do it. Having said that I have bought the beans, a pastry and the coffee because I believe in supporting local shops. Then you have to understand that maybe the discounts you provide in your coffe shop might not be worthy for everybody. Anyway thanks for the offer of the free...

Working in the local area I tend to stick to coffee from large chains, Costa Starbucks ect which are nice and easy to get and well known. I was recommended to try this coffee shop and have been now twice before leaving this review. Prices are exactly the same as the large chain coffee shops Coffees are made from plant based milk and having only ordered walnut latte so far they are by far the best lattes I've ever drunk!! Service is lovely staff both times have been really friendly and explained all the different types of milk for the drinks. It's a buzzing cafe with a lot of people inside but always space to find a seat if you need. Haven't had to wait to order and plenty of space Inside. Interior is very pleasurable as it doesn't look like your typical coffee shop with wooden floors and seatings. Deffinetly reccomend to anyone who hasn't tried plant based coffees and for anyone who is a coffee lover anyway, or to anyone in the area or looking to pass a...

Lovely quaint little coffee shop /cafe just round the corner from Brick Lane Small menu but offers sweet and savoury options. I had the generously portioned avocado toast with added Poached egg and oat milk latte. Definitely not your bland avocado on toast, lightly seasoned and very flavousome dressing of black sesame, chilli, drizzeld with truffle oil and served with rocket leaves garnish and a wedge of lemon. The two poached eggs sprinkled with chili flakes, were cooked to perfection, the sourdough toast was not overly toasted still retaining a nice soft texture. The oat latte was also well made and unlike some places no extra charge for plant based milk. Reallly nice fiendly and welcoming service, lovely chilled atmosphere. Perched on a bar stool by the window, is a lovely spot to people watch. Will definitely be back again for brunch or a coffee.

I’m a regular customer and usually come in for either a matcha or a chai latte with a cinnamon roll. Yesterday I ordered a small chai and a cinnamon pastry, but forgot to get my loyalty card stamped. I came in again today and just had a matcha. I showed proof of purchase from yesterday (exactly £8.30) and asked the dark curly-haired lady if I could get the missed stamp. She refused, saying the receipt could’ve been for anything—not necessarily a drink. It felt like I was being accused of trying to rip her off over a single stamp, which is frustrating considering I spend over £100 a month here. It’s a shame regulars aren’t recognised or trusted. That said, the other staff members are always friendly, and I do enjoy the food and drinks.

One of my go-to spots for coffee in the area and the best Acai Bowl I've had in the UK. Nice but cramped atmosphere, and a newly renovated bathroom. The service is friendly too. The food can be a bit spotty (avoid the BLT, for instance) and occasionally the coffee is bitter, but it's still one of the better coffee shops in an area spoiled for choice. Update: It's still a great location but seems to be slipping with its popularity. The coffee is hit and miss now, and perhaps due to inflation they've gone from the best açai bowl in London to the worst I've had. Service is still friendly, but it's getting poor. I'd say now this is a solidly below-average cafe in a great location.
