Control Room B: Electrifying Drinks in an Iconic Setting

Stepping into Control Room B is like traveling back in time, yet with a modern twist. The authentic control panels and dials transport you to Battersea Power Station's industrial past, while the innovative cocktails and lively atmosphere offer a thoroughly contemporary experience.

The Circuit Breaker: A Non-Alcoholic Revelation

For those seeking a flavorful and refreshing drink without the alcohol, the Circuit Breaker is an absolute must-try. This mocktail is a true testament to the creativity and skill of Control Room B's mixologists. It's a complex yet balanced blend of:

Everleaf Mountain: This non-alcoholic aperitif brings a unique depth of flavor, with notes of piney juniper, bitter orange, and aromatic herbs. It lays a sophisticated foundation for the other ingredients.

Strawberry Shrub: The sweetness of strawberries is perfectly balanced by the tangy vinegar in this shrub, adding a bright and fruity dimension to the drink.

Nonsuch Blood Orange & Bitter Lemon Shrub: This shrub provides a zesty citrus kick with a hint of bitterness, enhancing the overall complexity of the Circuit Breaker.

Pomegranate Juice: A splash of pomegranate juice introduces a subtle sweetness and a touch of tartness, further enriching the flavor profile.

Fresh Lemon Juice: A squeeze of lemon juice adds a final burst of brightness and acidity, making the Circuit Breaker incredibly refreshing.

The result is a mocktail that is both sophisticated and invigorating. The Circuit Breaker is a testament to the fact that non-alcoholic drinks can be just as exciting and flavorful as their alcoholic counterparts.

Overall:

Control Room B is a destination that offers something for everyone. Whether you're indulging in their creative cocktails or savoring the delightful Circuit Breaker, you're sure to be impressed by the unique ambiance, friendly staff, and outstanding drinks.

Tips:

Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. They are passionate about their craft and can guide you through the menu.

If you're visiting with a group, consider sharing a few different cocktails or mocktails to experience the full range of flavors.

Make sure to book ahead, especially if you're planning to visit on a weekend or during peak hours.

Whether you're a local or a visitor to London, Control Room B is a must-visit destination for a truly unforgettable experience. Cheers (or should I say, "Circuits away!") to a fantastic night out at Battersea...

I write this review in the hope that it helps management, improves the quality of service and doesn't deter guests.

My wife, I and another couple visited the Control Room B bar a couple days ago…we were warmly welcomed by the front manager who told us that we could sit anywhere where there were no reserved signs present..we walked around the bar enjoying its architecture and all the elements of the past control room, like the old style switch boards, meters, telephone etc…we selected a table closer to the lift area but was promptly told off by a male attendant that the table was reserved, even though there was no reserved sign present there unlike the other tables we had seen previously and passed…so we chose another table close by…we were ignored by the attendant for some time until another passed us and noticed we were there twiddling our thumbs…she brought us the drinks menu which came in a long cardboard cylinder, reminiscent of how process and instrument diagrams of process units were stored, a nice element to the many other nods to the location of this bar in the battersea power station…we again had quite a wait for our orders to be taken, even though the place was not that busy, the male attendant eventually got back around to us, he took our orders which were 3 different cocktails and a diet Coke….there was another long wait where we noticed our drinks were carried to another table by the male attendant then brought back to the bar and eventually were delivered to us by the female attendant…we were absolutely shocked by the level of attention to service at this place given the prices in this location….the actual drinks were not impressive, absolutely lacking of alcohol…we paid and informed the manager that the service wasn't great and she said I should have said that before paying and that she would have left off the service charge…I told her that it was ok as it is shared by the staff but I had to inform her in hopes that the service improves in the future as the bar and its concept is very unique and deserving of a higher...

Unprofessional and completely Unnecessary. I visited The Control Room B and was horrified and extremely disappointed. me and my friends & family won't be returning. I would avoid not worth your time or money.

The customer service was ridiculously poor. Firstly we were rudely and judgementally told as soon as we waited, that ''there's no where for you to sit'' Then brushed off and ignored rudely with an attitude from a blonde lady (member of waiting staff/manageress) Truly awful member of staff.

Afterwards we then asked politely if we could sit in the space that was clearly available, as we were told rudely and without effort we could maybe wait 15 minutes but were made to feel a nuisance and completely unwelcomed. Without any assistance. (It was 9:15pm and the venue doesn't close until 10pm, may I please mention this.) Whether half the bar is open or not this was handled very unprofessionally.

We then finally sat down then another staff member came over to try and resolve the issue but unfortunately made us feel even more uncomfortable, as by the time we had sat down and was finally comfortable to order some drinks in peace, they then was insisting we write a statement which was not needed and we didn't feel this would resolve any issue. There was no sincerity apart from one of the kind gentleman that was new into the business (3 months or so been working there.) He was very helpful and dealt with things professionally. He was rather confused with what time the bar closed as he kept having to be a ''messenger'' as the manageress (blonde lady) wouldn't come and speak to us directly, professionally and calmly.

I think the two ladies particularly the blonde lady (member of staff) Needs to be sacked as her customer service was dreadful. Her tone and attitude was truly disgusting. The way she handled the situation and the way she lead her team was terrible, treating them like messengers to do her dirty work. I will never forget what an awful experience. Do...

Amongst the best high end cocktails I’ve had in London - ordered negronis, boulevardier, cosmo. Excellent decor, sitting alongside the original mechanics of the Battersea power station with Frank Sinatra playing. Staff were awesome. Cannot recommend enough!

First, let me start with the positives. It's pretty much the only bar inside Battersea power station and it has gorgeous decor. The 50s and 60s music that played gave it an authentic vibe. Now onto things that are in desperate need of improvement: The service: We sat down at 17.00 for our 1.5 hour allocated table. We ordered a cocktail and a glass of wine, as well as cheesy strips. The cheesy strips (Sainsbury's style heated up) arrived within 5 mins, our drinks arrived about 25 mins later. The cocktail was average at best, albeit in a gorgeous glass. The sauvignon was lukewarm. Random mistakes: Our waitress attempted to bring us a second portion of cheesy strips, unaware we've already been served them and the table cleared. In hindsight, we should have probably accepted them... The selling point: The bar itself should be your opportunity to see the original power station switchboard but since it's a Grade II listed building of course that's all surrounded by glass. We were sat too far from it to appreciate it. They do offer an overpriced "tour" which I'm glad I didn't pay for. The location and facilities: The bar looks stunning from the outside, but at the end of the day it's a bar on a shopping alley in a shopping centre. It's not enclosed or intimate so that ruins the vibe completely. The lack of toilets on site is also disappointing. Overall, for all the staff they had running around and behind the bar, it's incredibly slow. Drinks are average for the price. One visit is enough!
