Overpriced mediocre burgers. Unfortunately this place was very underwhelming and not worth the price tag of 30 quid for two burgers, fries, and soft drinks. 30 quid is about 45 USD for my fellow American tourists. At these prices these burgers and fries are extortion. The thing is, I love Gordon Ramsay, I watch all of his shows back home and even use some of his recipes, which makes this all that much more disappointing. When you’re at the level of a chef like Gordon, you are expected to push the boundaries of cuisine. How do you make a great burger EVEN BETTER. Out of the box. Something that is worth trying when you’re visiting a country. This restaurant does none of these things. The fries are fries and the burger is a burger. Quite literally nothing special, yet it costs 15 quid. You’re much better off finding a street vendor that will sell you one for half that or even five quid. I got the BAE burger and a the vegetarian butter squash burger. I have nothing to say about the BAE burger, I’ve made better burgers from frozen patties on the grill for no more than 2 quid a burger. The butternut squash on the other hand was an attempt, a quite a good one I might say, at making a burger that is unique and delicious. Even though it was vegetarian, it had texture, flavor, juiciness, and a uniqueness that I would expect from a restaurant owned by Gordon. But yet again, 15 quid is not justifiable, especially when the fries it comes with are dry and flavorless. I understand this isn’t one of Gordon’s top restaurants, but it’s priced like one while tasting (in the words of the man himself) “utter sh*t mate!” So once again, you’re better off finding another cheaper burger joint, getting a gyro, or authentic Indian cuisine that all surround this restaurant. For what this place is, the prices aren’t justified and the burgers are sadly a pathetic attempt at being something that they simply can’t be: a juicy and delicious burger.

Read moreThis place is incredibly overrated. I don't know why I keep going to Ramsay's new popups - he makes them look great on social media but when you actually go it's just a huge let down.
I went here this afternoon expecting really great things, having seen the very misleading Facebook promotion earlier in the day.
The ambience is very quirky and modern. There are traffic lights and various other lights for decor which add to the atmosphere and give it a very unique feel. Unfortunately the loos are tiny and cramped, and very dark because they are using some kind of bizarre UV lights. The soap containers on the wall are falling off.
I went here with my partner and we ordered a JFC and #BAE, and they came out with two JFCs... I asked what happened and the waiter said there was a problem with the system. I then had to wait for them to cook my #BAE whilst my partner was eating her JFC. By the time my #BAE arrived, my partner was already finished. That is not how I wanted to eat and I am furious that they didn't even offer me a discount as an apology.
The burgers are far too big to eat like a normal burger.. you cannot bite into them unless you have a mouth like a lion. It then drips absolutely everywhere so either you will need a bib or you will need to use your knife and fork... (to eat a BURGER!)
My burger was also slightly overcooked... the tomato relish was lacking flavour, and I cannot believe it was approved by a 22 Michelin star chef? That was not a good relish. That was not a good burger.
There are at least 3 other burger joints within a 10 minute walk from here that make this place look like trash. I recommend you Google a higher rated alternative and avoid disappointment.
The chips were outstanding. I have no further comments on the chips. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the chips were really good and the ambience was quite cool. That being said, I would not...
Read moreSo disappointing. After watching Gordon Ramsay criticize burgers on his TV programs for years, my wife and I were excited to finally go to a restaurant of his which focused solely on them.
Gordon states (in a video which is on Street Burger's IG page) that they have spent 18 months getting the blend right for their burgers, but after dining here, he should've said that they've spent 18 months on the marketing and design of the restaurant (as that would be believable) because you can get better pre-made burger patties at Waitrose than what's on offer at Street Burger.
I got the #BAE Burger and my wife got the O.G.R. Burger, and whilst the presentation looked great, the meat was overcooked, tasteless and chewy. It reminded us of the kind of burger meat you'd expect at a sporting event. The best part of the experience by far were the chips and the best decision I made was substituting my soft drink for an Oreo milkshake as it was very good.
Besides the burgers, further issues were the following: When I went to the loo, the 1st of 4 single-serve bathrooms had a non-flushing toilet, the 2nd available option had an inoperable door lock, the 3rd loo was occupied (no issue there), and fortunately, the final loo option was fine but just a bit ridiculous considering that it's a new restaurant. Also, they automatically add a "discretionary donation" to your bill. This always rubs me the wrong way, especially when I fell that I've overpaid for a meal. If they want to support a cause, they should simply have that donation built into the price and let everyone know that a portion of their meal will go to support their chosen cause rather than tacking it onto every bill.
2 Stars. 1 for the chips and 1 for the Oreo shake.
