Disappointing experience, not worth the money Last Thursday 28th August 2025, I visited Harrison's coffee with my sister, excited to show her the place. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. When we arrived, I asked the waiter if we could sit downstairs. He didn’t seem happy about it, and although he eventually said “no problem,” his body language showed the opposite. His attitude was unwelcoming from the start. After taking our order, he disappeared and never came back to check on us. Later, a Chilean waitress served us, but she seemed unhappy working there. She even mentioned she didn’t like the country, which felt very unprofessional. I had to go upstairs to remind her about our dessert order, as she had forgotten it while scrolling on her phone. We waited over 10 minutes unnecessarily. The atmosphere was nothing like it used to be. Two years ago, I was warmly welcomed by the owners, with Chilean music playing and a cozy environment. This time, the staff felt miserable, the vibe was unfriendly, and there was no Chilean music at all. The food was also disappointing: my £19 sandwich arrived with cold meat, the portions of pebre (£3 each) were very small, and the pisco sour was £15 definitely not worth it. In total, we spent £88 for two people, and sadly it felt like a complete waste given the poor service and cold food. The only positive thing I can mention is the decoration, which was nice. But overall, the service, the food, and the atmosphere were extremely disappointing. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place. “I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the service and the quality...
Read moreFor us -Chilean expats- Harrison’s coffee is a golden time capsule allowing us to relive those flavours connecting the soul with our motherland. The journey is the full experience, a rollercoaster of emotions ranging from nostalgia to upper joy. Leaving the lyricism aside, you will get quality for the price you pay and it’s worth mentioning the size of the meals will leave you more than satisfied. As an example: a typical overcooked burger at any pub will cost almost the same than a CHURRASCO ITALIANO (sirloin beef + tomato + tons of avocado + mayo + baked at the local Chilean bread) and the difference in quality is abysmal. Nevertheless, the emblem of the establishment is the EMPANADA (beef + caramelised onion + egg + black olive) and it is as good as those served in the best places in Chile. The service is always great. The staff makes you feel welcome, and you can start a friendly chat and practise your Spanish (although little by little to achieve the difficult level of Chilean Spanish, lol) If you are local, this is a great place to make it your favourite. If you are visitor, it can be one of the highlights of your trip. I heartly recommend getting there and greet the staff with this phrase: HOLA HUEVONES!!! You will see how the...
Read moreAbsolutely a must! The food is so authentic and delicious. While there I had the Churrasco (a beef steak sandwich with avocado) and my husband the Completo ( hot dog with avocado and mayonnaise) both so full of flavor we also order Ensalda chilena which is tomatoes with onions which was a great refreshing addition to our sandwiches. Had a delicious Pisco Sour and a wine with strawberries sooo delicious had to buy a bottle of Pisco. We also bought 2 empanadas one with beef, onions, black olives and hard boiled egg and one with cheese and a piece of Mil Hoyas cake to go. The empanadas were excellent so authentic to what I remember. The Mil Hojas cake was so scrumptious it has layers upon layers of caramel( dulce de leche, manjar). Everything is made fresh including the bread!!! HARRISON'S COFFEE is so much more than the name offers, thank you to Susana and her husband, which are the owner's, for your warmth and such lovely hospitality. You can taste the love and devotion you have in the food you so lovingly make.. ❤definitely!
