The service was absolutely terrible - the hostesses have such an attitude on them it’s frankly shocking how they got hired for that job. We struggled to get a cab to our reservation so we’re running a bit behind - it’s a Friday night in London- to be expected. We try to call them multiple times to let them know we will be around 15 min late as per the request on their reservation confirmation email, but there is no answer of course. When we reach at 8.15 for our 8pm reservation , we are waiting 6-7 mins due to a few people ahead of us. There were 2 hostesses yet they were taking ages - god knows why. Then, when it is our turn, the hostess says “your reservation was 20 minutes ago” and pauses looking at us like we should be apologising or begging to give them our money?! We stare , shocked at her behaviour, and then she says “I’ve given away your table as you are a no/show to us”. She was so extremely rude, sarcastic - I mean on what planet is this acceptable behaviour in any way shape or form to your customers. You didn’t pick up the phone, you didn’t try to call and check, you made us wait ages when we arrived - you should be apologising to us! Also there’s no way she gave away the table because we arrived right at 8:15 on the dot (15 minute grace period) and she told the people in front of us their table was not ready too. So, clearly she lied to be rude and condescending and feel a bit powerful. It’s not our problem that on your email it says to please call if we are running late, but then you don’t pick up the phone, yet we arrived within the window anyway. Absolutely despicable behaviour. If it wasn’t for having guests from out of town I would have immediately asked to speak to the manager and gone elsewhere. However she then said I can try to get you a table in 15 mins (acted like she was doing us a massive favour) and the out of town guests wanted to wait. NEVER getting my money again even though I’ve been to Harry’s restaurants since 2017. I’m also going to contact the restaurant to refund the service charge...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining with my family at Harry's Victoria, and the experience was delightful. Located in the heart of Victoria, this charming restaurant blends modern sophistication with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a family outing.
Upon entering Harry's, we were greeted with warm smiles and immediately shown to our table. The interior is stylishly decorated with a mix of contemporary and classic elements, creating an inviting ambiance. The soft lighting and comfortable seating made us feel right at home.
The menu at Harry's Victoria offers a diverse selection of dishes, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. To start, we shared a platter of appetizers, including crispy calamari, garlic prawns, and a fresh garden salad. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The calamari was perfectly cooked, tender inside with a crisp, golden exterior, while the garlic prawns were juicy and infused with a delightful hint of spice.
My favourite dish was Triangle Ravioli and Chocolate Doughnuts to share as well as Affogato al Caffe - one scoop of Fior di latte gelato served with espresso coffee.
The service throughout our meal was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Overall, our family lunch at Harry's Victoria was an exceptional experience. The combination of delicious food, elegant setting, and top-notch service made it a memorable outing. We will undoubtedly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience...
Read moreWe got a voucher for Harry's as a wedding gift and were really looking forward to celebrating. Unfortunately, the service really let us down. When we ordered our mains, we explained we would be sharing everything and as a (different) waiter brought our food, we said again we were sharing the dishes. The waiter placed the dishes down in the middle of the table and just walked off, giving us no side plates or anything to eat from, so we had to wait a few minutes to flag someone down (which proved tricky). Halfway through the mains my husband finished his drink and would've liked to order another, however, once again, we really struggled to get anyone's attention and noone checked in with us even to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything else. For ages, we were trying to get someone's attention, but it was like we were invisible to the waiting staff. By the time we'd finished our mains, we were both ready for another drink and possibly a dessert, but still noone came to us. After this, my husband tried AGAIN to flag someone down and finally caught someone's attention, but instead of coming over to ask us if we wanted another drink or even offering us the dessert menu, we were brought the bill immediately. It didn't seem like Harry's wanted our custom and by this point were ready to go. The food was delicious so we were quite disappointed that the service was so lacking as we had heard good things, and had gone in hoping for a bit of a post-wedding...
