I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the behavior I witnessed at your restaurant today. I visited your establishment with my family, and we encountered a highly unpleasant incident involving one of your staff members. While we were waiting outside, a young child in our group needed to use the restroom. As the child made their way towards the restroom area, a member of your staff, whom I believe to be a senior waitress, loudly exclaimed, "Get out! Our toilets are for our customers." This display of rudeness and lack of courtesy was both shocking and unacceptable. When I approached the staff member to address the issue and seek an apology, she adamantly denied ever uttering those words. This refusal to acknowledge her mistake and offer an apology only exacerbated the situation. I would like to highlight a few key points regarding this incident: Firstly, had the staff member not made such a statement, the child would not have acted inappropriately. It is clear that her words directly influenced the child's behavior. Secondly, another male staff member present at the time failed to promptly intervene and provide directions to the public restroom. This lack of immediate action further added to our frustration and inconvenience. It is deeply concerning that your staff member not only exhibited discourteous behavior towards a young child but also remained steadfast in her denial of any wrongdoing. Such a response is highly unprofessional and does not reflect well on your establishment. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. I believe it is essential for your staff to take responsibility for their actions and be held accountable for their behavior. It is my hope that you will take this matter seriously and address it appropriately. I would appreciate a formal apology from the staff member involved, as well as reassurance that steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. I value the dining experience at your restaurant and hope that this isolated incident does not reflect the overall atmosphere and service quality of your establishment. I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure a positive and respectful environment for all patrons. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding the steps you will take to address this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ordered meals: Tonkotsu x Ramen with added egg, takana, and chasu chicken and my boyfriend the Chicken Katsu Curry. Tonkotsu x Ramen: I really liked the broth, very flavorful and hearty broth. The noodles were also nice, but I would like it if they had a bit more of it. The pork meat was tender, but too little if I had not added the chicken topping. And the chicken was okay, but I was expecting it to come inside the dish, warm with the broth. The dish as a whole was good, but I think that for the price, I expected more. Maybe more toppings by default instead of having to add the extra ones to be more satisfied. And, when adding extra, better portions, added to the whole dish. Chicken Katsu Curry: My boyfriend was not a fan of the dish. Because it was our 1st time trying, we can't compare to any other, but here's what he thought of it --> rice was okay, the chicken portion, although crunchy and nice, was smaller than expected and the cabbage was just plain, which he was not a fan of, and the Curry itself seemed just like a plain sauce, it lacked some vegetable or something in it. In geral, it's not worth the price for him, too small chicken portion, not as filling. In brief, OK, but not worth the price. Service was good and fast, and the place was ok. There is nothing special to either but no complaints. Dessert: I almost forgot, but we ordered a piece of ice cream mochi with strawberry flavor. It was nice!

The second Kanada Ya I've visited and must say this one is probably the worst of the chain. Every surface of the restaurant itself seems to be layered in oily fat. The floors were extremely slippery and treacherous to walk on - both my friend and I nearly slipped and we saw the staff slip and fall down at least four times during our 1.5 hour stay at the restaurant. This means they had to slow-shuffle walk everywhere, which led to a much slower service (we had to wait and finally signal multiple times for our orders to be taken). The table surfaces were also sticky/ oily and doesn't seem to be cleaned effectively. Finally, the front door is not weighted so everytime someone comes in or out, a cold blast of air chills everyone inside and it doesn't swing close by itself - we ended up having to shuffle across the room constantly to shut the door from the other end of the restaurant (at the risk of slipping on the oily floors). Not the most enjoyable dining experience! The ramen was alright but would probably go elsewhere next time.

I have not tried the food, so I cannot give it a rating. This is more of a personal issue. Hence, the reason for the 1 star rating and, if there was 0 I would give it exactly that, but the lowest is 1, so I will stick with that. I question why companies reach out to applicants offering them an interview, which usually follows with a work trial.

From my personal experience I attended a interview and work trial, after I had finished I was told that the person who contacted me would get back to me. It's coming up to TWO WHOLE WEEKS and complete RADIO SILENCE from them. I was almost there for 3 WHOLE hours, so you can imagine that I find long work trials tedious and, tiresome.

I understand that not all companies require, to contact the applicants who had attended the interview and work trial. However, it would be common courtesy to inform them if they have progressed to the next stage. If not when asked what could be improved to become better regarding service etc... It would be nice to have at least feedback whether it is positive or negative. Any feedback can be used as constructive criticism.

I have also realised from my personal experience, of attending countless interviews and, work trials that it has become an EXCUSE for companies to RELY on applicants to assist customers as EXTRA support. Not all companies pay you for your own time sacrificed. You would be fortunate if you were given free food/drink to compensate for your time you gave up.

Also, one of the managers patronised me about the way I had wiped the table. I have been in the Hospitality industry for OVER a decade. I know exactly how to WIPE a table. I am someone who becomes fussy if an area is not clean, so I do not need someone reprimanding me for that.

I also find it ironic that a customer at the time had asked me for extra soup for their child and, insisted they would pay the necessary amount, but was declined and, this had left the customers unhappy. You would think that companies would want to leave their customers with a positive/satisfactory experience, or want to earn more from customers, but clearly not if they had refused the customer of this. I apologised to the customer that they could not accommodate to their needs and, they understood and bid them with at least a positive farewell.

If you bother attending here for a work trial, just understand that this will be the treatment...
