First time there, i ordered the sirloin steak which doesn't come with any sides by default so ordered some fries at £4.50 extra. Steak was NOT fresh, I'm not saying it was completely bad or fully off but got a few tastes that were concerning, mainly an hour or two after eating (sometimes you get those "after tastes". Meat not fresh, small portion of fries, nothing great but fries were ok. Will not be returning, should of gone elsewhere round the corner, there's plenty of choice of places. I only ordered water as I had to drive home. Bill was £36.10.
I guess my conclusion is a touristy type of place/trap. Not impressed, I also got the vibe of dissatisfaction from the staff that I didn't order any real drinks (alcohol etc).
Shame really as it's an attractive looking place with comfortable seating, kind of American diner style with a few booths.
NB. Meat not fresh, possibly on verge of going bad, I'm hoping it will be ok but if I have a bad stomach or whatever tomorrow, I have the financial means to throw legal action and get solicitor to deal with trading standards if necessary. I don't think it will come to that as I feel fine now and ate there about 6 hours ago, so should be alright.
Finally it seems to me these days that so many businesses get so many glowing reviews just like on Amazon, I think reviews are mainly unverified and I don't trust many of them.
I would like to try and be fair, maybe their burgers and Italian style dishes are ok, I only...
Read moreI'd like to firstly congratulate the service from start to finish. The food was Immaculate and it had a relaxed atmosphere.
We were was looking for a restaurant close to London Paddington for a while and when we stumbled across this one, the waiter gave us confirmation it is a halal restaurant and gave us an insight to the menu. He then left us to look at the menu, which compared to the last two we had went into, we felt pressured to take a seat and order without seeing if there's anything we both want. This showed us as a customer, a lot of respect.
After looking at the menu, we were satisfied with making a choice as there was a variety of scrumptious meals on the menu.
When the food arrived, we were not disappointed. The flavour was strong but not so much that it left any overpowering flavours in your mouth afterwards. Only the memory of the stunning food we just ate.
The service inside was 10/10 and never dropped from when we outside deciding up until when we left.
If you are close to London Paddington and your looking for something to eat, I strongly recommend Motto Kitchen.
We were as a couple, but there was families eating in there and if we lived closer, we'd certainly have a family...
Read moreVery good food and very good service. I visited London in October 2024 and stayed near Paddington. I passed by this restaurant several times a day and never thought of going in. On my last day, before leaving for the airport, I decided to go in for lunch, as I had a few hours to kill. I had the best lamb chops probably in my life and the best service. The lady that worked there and waited my table turned out to be a fellow Romanian, and was very warm and kind. Unfortunately, I completely forgot her name, but she made sure I had some baclava to go (which I did not order, it was on the house), and I will never forget this. As I had a long journey ahead, she packed me something “for the road”, as it is customary. It might have been something that they do for all customers, or it might have been an extra order, it doesn’t matter to me. The gesture itself reminded me a bit of home (as she comes from an area of the country that I am familiar with), and that people can be kind and generous sometimes. I wish her and the restaurant...
