Typically Nando's which is usually great to be honest, it was an extremely rainy day. However, it isn't what my stars are based on. The roof was leaking from a light during the weather, near the two big tables at the back in booths to the left of them.
EDIT: Added a star for getting a reply from Nando's themselves was previously 2 stars.
SON OF EDIT: I have now revoked 2 stars and knocked this down as a rather poor experience as a whole to a 1 star.
I get a reply from Nando's in this review 42 days approx after I initially posted this review and added a star as I have mentioned in 'EDIT'.
I contacted Nando's via the email they suggested explaining the situation and get an instant 'usual' reply of "we will get back to you as soon as possible"
Roll forward to 13th of December 2019 and I get an email back from Nando's 'seemingly' blaming me for using this service reviewing the first and only poor experience I have had ever eating at a Nando's.
Telling me I had contacted the email far too late against my visit of Nando's and they were unable to help me much further other than some loyalty card add on or provide them with an address where they will send me out an offer.
The offer would have been appreciated if I had felt like I wasn't being patronised toward and blamed for using a service I have every right to use!
SON OF EDIT'S SON: Well, although this particular day wasn't as pleasant as usual Nando's days.
Overall it turned back into an appreciation for Nando's.
I know 'SON OF EDIT' had me all a bluster, I'm generally pleased with the way they had eventually made me happy to eat at their establishments.
Roll on for my eldest daughter's birthday, where at some point we will frequent said establishment in...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgraceful Experience – Nando’s Greenwich Cutty Sark
I am utterly appalled by the treatment my pregnant wife and I received today, Sunday 27th, at 2:42 PM at the Nando’s Greenwich Cutty Sark branch. After a long, exhausting journey delayed by London Marathon road closures, my wife — who is 32 weeks pregnant — was craving some chicken, and we decided to stop at Nando’s for a meal.
Upon entering, we politely asked to use the restroom, given my wife’s urgent need. To our shock and disgust, the usher at the door — an elderly gentleman — was extremely rude and flatly refused her access, claiming the restaurant was busy. This was a blatant lie: the restaurant was barely 80% full and certainly not overrun. There was absolutely no justification for his behaviour.
Despite clearly explaining that my wife is heavily pregnant and needed the toilet urgently (which should have been obvious), he showed no compassion or basic human decency. His complete lack of empathy and professionalism is beyond unacceptable. It would have cost him nothing to allow her to use the facilities before we placed our order, which we fully intended to do. Instead, we were forced to leave feeling humiliated and bitterly disappointed.
As loyal Nando’s customers, this experience has completely shattered our trust. I will never return to this branch again. Management seriously needs to reconsider who they allow to be the first point of contact for customers — this man has no business representing your brand. His behaviour was disgraceful, and he should be severely warned or even removed from his position. No customer — especially a heavily pregnant woman — should ever be treated this way.
Shame on you, Nando’s...
Read moreDuring the kids’ half-term break, my family and I decided to spend a day in historic Greenwich, exploring its rich heritage and maritime charm. After a morning of discovery, we found ourselves craving a hearty meal to recharge. Nando’s in Greenwich was the perfect choice, offering a lively atmosphere and consistently satisfying food.
The restaurant is ideally located near Greenwich’s iconic landmarks, making it a convenient stop amidst sightseeing. Stepping inside, we were welcomed by the warm decor and the enticing aroma of peri-peri spices. The staff was friendly and attentive, swiftly finding us a comfortable table despite the busy lunch hour.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, each bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The peri-peri chicken was the star of the meal—succulent and seasoned to perfection. Our children enjoyed their meals as well, with options catering to all palates and a kid-friendly atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable for everyone. The sides, from the creamy coleslaw to the spicy rice, complemented the mains flawlessly.
Nando’s in Greenwich offered us not only a delightful meal but also a relaxed, family-friendly ambiance that rounded off our day. This branch is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Greenwich and in need of a dependable, flavorful meal. Highly...
