🤩This small, stylish coffee shop offers a cozy atmosphere with a sleek, minimalistic design—perfect for grabbing a high-quality drink or catching up with a friend. 👍The standout here is undeniably the hot matcha latte, which is crafted with noticeable care and precision. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s a clear sign that the shop uses high-grade matcha powder, making it one of the best matcha lattes around for true matcha lovers.
🙁The staff are just fine, 👎👎👎They had so dirty aprons that I immediately wanted to see the manager and say it to him/her. I just was in shock where these staff looks and what is in their minds, that they don’t see it and can’t see their colleagues too... It doesn’t add the welcoming vibe at all, though the space itself is quite compact with 👎😥limited and not particularly comfortable seating. It can get crowded, and it’s important to note there’s no customer restroom🤯😱. Still, the overall drink quality more than makes up for the small drawbacks. Whether you're a matcha enthusiast or just looking for a well-made beverage, or a 👍coffee which is definitely is very good es well, this spot is definitely worth a visit. 👍It's a great place for a short break, a quick catch-up, or simply enjoying a perfectly made hot drink. I definitely come back here to try something else and want to see what matcha powder they use. 🤯But I definitely know that there is NO washroom If the manager or someone from this place will read my review, please write me what matcha powder you use🙏 It was the best I ever tried👍😜 👍👍👍🤗I definitely...
Read moreOmotesando is a shop well worth going out of your way to visit and spending a little time really enjoying the experience of tasting coffee.
The space is a very different experience to most other speciality coffee shops. The separate ordering experience makes it feel quite special and boutique but still personal and friendly (you order in the little entrance hall and then hand your order to the barista after). The space is beautiful and seating is just right for this kind of space - just a few stools by the window. This space encourages quietness and respect from its customers; it was an extremely peaceful place to sit.
The coffee itself is excellent. Between us we had a latte, a batch brew, and a pourover. Each was delicious and beautifully crafted by the baristas. The baristas were clearly knowledgeable and interested, and they were happy to answer questions about the coffee and equipment at quieter moments. There were three coffees on offer: when we visited it was the house blend, an El Salvador, and a Peruvian. The house blend is a medium roast with quite a full body but the two other coffees on offer were light roasted and fruity. The batch brew and pourover were both excellent, though the pourover did offer a more complex flavour so worth the extra cost if you want a really special coffee.
I also recommend trying their baked custard squares. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of coffee at £2.60 for batch brew, £3.20 for lattes and £4...
Read moreLondon has some excellent coffee shops and this isn't one. Omotesando is more vibes than substance. Where do I begin
When entering Omotesando for the first time you're greeted with a clean and sharp interior with a pleasant aroma. The experience to order is quick and painless but that's where the issues begin.
Their house is a blend and for any coffee lover that already gives you red flags. Furthermore their menu is limited with basically only their house and no guests. The barista are trained to be baristas but not trained for coffee appreciation. The coffee itself is just bang average. It's above the average chains like Starbucks and Costa but for the price and competition against specialists it pails in comparison. The coffee itself being a blend means that lower quality notes come through as they've tried to hide it with higher quality. You won't be picking up any complex flavour apart from the over powering acrid bitterness.
As for the service, pleasant and nothing wrong.
Tldr: an average coffee shop which is more style than substance. London has plenty of other better coffee shops,go to the ones that are cheaper and...
