Paul is a charming café that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious pastry and a cup of coffee. The café has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating and a rustic décor that gives it a homey feel.
One of the standout items on the menu at Paul is their chocolate eclairs. These little delights are light and fluffy, filled with a creamy custard and topped with a rich chocolate glaze. They are a true indulgence and absolutely delicious - I could easily eat two or three in one sitting!
However, I was disappointed with the macaroons. While they looked beautiful and were available in a range of enticing flavors, the texture was quite tough and they lacked the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth quality that I expect from a good macaroon. Overall, Paul is a delightful café that is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're in the mood for a delicious chocolate eclair. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the pastries are expertly crafted and absolutely delicious, and the coffee is top-notch. Read moreThis is the first time ever I leave a google review, and yes it's because it is the first time ever I was treated so rudely in a shop. I intended to buy a bag of mini chocolate pastry, since for another type of mini pastry they are usually sold in a bag. I said "one bag" three times when the lady confirmed with me. Then she took one pastry, and I said sorry I want a bag. She had been unhappy all the way while serving me and after hearing this she suddenly got angry. She was almost shouting at me saying "do you want a box? If you want a box why do you say you want a bag?" I smiled and then said sorry I didn't know they would be in a box. Then she was still angry and just rushed to the cashier. Sorry I have no idea I need to understand perfectly about your products before ordering. This happened this Friday and now I still feel angry. That lady has eyes looking like she is always googling and maybe a French accent I am not sure. I hope you strengthen your training to your employees. I am not asking for perfect service, but at least I am not going to suffer from the bad...

So I waited for him to come back & he then ask who was next and served another lady so I explained I was waiting and u have already served someone before us and he can see we was waiting. He never said sorry nothing it was if he was purposely not wanting to serve us. For me the other people looked quite posh and he didn’t want to serve us normal guys maybe our moneys not good enough…Or maybe my tall mixed race son made him feel uncomfortable but I’m not happy and will not go back as the cake was ok but nothing special for the money. To many lardy dar overpriced shops charging silly amounts for basic food….and yes I will be contacting head office as this is unacceptable and his attitude...
