Great cocktails, great selection of wine, amazing food, quirky eclectic decor with friendly relaxed service - we will be back.

We came for drinks but also had some snacks - the food was way better than expected - the fried chicken with honey was crispy, succulent and had perfect amount of honey drizzle, the hummus properly made and we needed extra soft, fluffy, warm flat bread to wipe every drop up and finally the chicory salad - even my wife who hates chicory kept going back for a few more bites.

The cocktail list is toooooo small. Ink well while not looking great - a purple muddy colour was the highlight creamy coconut with sweet rum and a hint of ginger with a slight citrus twist. The cherry old fashioned is great if you prefer sweeter versions more akin to a rum old fashioned despite having whiskey as the base - the sweetness from the cherries. Noble savage is a classic chilli mezcal - refreshing. Plume of feathers another great drink sweet to begin then dry from the sparkling Brut.

Service was relaxed, friendly and responsive. Drinks came quickly and they politely gave us 30mins warning before our booking time ran out so we could relax and time when to pay and leave.

The high ceilings with chandeliers makes the space feel so much bigger and we loved the aesthetics. When the weather gets better will be great to sit outside on the terrace. Make sure you come here before the summer...

After an afternoon spent at the Tate Modern I came here a light evening lunch. This wine bar is situated in Borough Yards, a lively new retail and dining destination located near Borough Market and London Bridge station. Its address is Arch 232 Bank End, London SE1 9FJ. It's the newest venture from "Fables & Company," the team behind other successful wine bars like Plume and Finch. The concept is heavily inspired by storytelling and literature, a nod to the area's history and proximity to Shakespeare's Globe. The interior is designed to feel like an eccentric, literary-inspired wine cellar, while the outside space is an "ode to an English garden." It's known for its blend of historical and modern design elements. The wine list is expertly curated, with a focus on making wine accessible. It features a wide selection of both rare and everyday wines, including an expanded selection of English wines. The food menu, created by Rob Wade, focuses on British cuisine with modern twists, and includes signature dishes like the "Golden Boy" grilled cheese sandwich. The bar hosts interactive and immersive experiences, such as "Secret Notes" nights and tarot readings, adding to its unique and playful atmosphere.

Quill Wine Bar is an absolute delight! The location is excellent, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere perfect for any occasion. The drinks menu is top-notch, with a fantastic selection of wines and expertly crafted cocktails that cater to all tastes.

I had an Old Fashioned, which was perfectly balanced and one of the best I’ve had, while my wife enjoyed a mix of cocktails and wine throughout the evening. Each drink was flawless and served with care.

The vibe here is unmatched—it’s a great chilled spot to enjoy drinks with your wife or catch up with friends. The music was amazing too—think Cleo Sol Spotify Radio, setting the perfect tone for a relaxed yet refined evening.

The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. It’s clear the team takes great pride in ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience.
