Roosters Piri Piri — Restaurant in London

I'd give it a 3.5 stars as although it's my go-to roosters place, both for dining in and delivery, it's not perfect.

The staff seemed well versed in their allergens, i.e. whats safe and what isn't, and as I'm intolerant to gluten and eggs, I haven't had much of a reaction from this place - occasionally mild symptoms but nothing crazy. The cook of the chicken here, I find, is always perfect. Moist on the inside with the flavours bursting. The chips are hit and miss, you either get them perfectly crisp and fluffy, or they're soggy and tasteless, I guess it depends on who's cooking. Also worth to say that their orange juice does taste fresh enough as advertised.

The downside of this restaurant however is that it's not the cleanliest. I don't particularly mind it, but it could be better. Tables and counters are often sticky, and chairs only get a 'slap down' rather than a proper wipe. I haven't needed to use the bathroom when I'm dining in but true enough I haven't seen any availabilities for the bathroom when needing to use the toilet or washing hands, so make sure you have some disinfectant+wipes on you when coming here.

Another reason for the 3 stars is that there's not much customer service here but that doesn't really bother me. It's simply that these guys are here to work and serve you food at a good quality and quick time which I appreciate. It's true they don't speak English 100% of the time but they speak enough to understand customers questions, orders, and concerns so it shouldn't be a negative...

Leaving this review re Favorite chicken which they also own, just so you know what sort of service to expect and how things 'are not' dealt with when they get it wrong.

'Having received an incorrect order ie items missing today, 2nd November I called the restaurant. Their response was next time, next time we give you extra. Explained that this is not good enough as it is my dinner, they said they know nothing about it! What! They just sent it!! I asked them to refund the order and I would place the order again they said call just eat! Not that simple! What they should be doing at the very least is telling just eat to issue a refund. Arrived 20 mins early so no excuse for incorrect order and what was delivered was cold.

Rang Roosters Piri Piri down the road as they own both shops. Asked to speak to the manager, he was there then phone was put down, called back and he wasn't there. Spoke to Kumar who spoke to favorite and said to order a drink or something and they would deliver the correct order vi explained that if I ordered the cheapest thing on their menu a dip at 60p it would cost me an additional £4.58! Kumar called the manager and called me back, he said to call justeat and they would give me a refund, not that simple! Said they should be telling justeat to issue the refund as they got the order incorrect, he said he would but he couldn't guarantee they would do it?? Yet he told me if I called they would refund me!
