The place itself was nice, limited seating but that was expected. The lady manager with braids was lovely and so accommodating! On the other hand, being a group of 20 year olds in a place with what I could assume was people a bit older, it seemed security was targeting us. We are respectful people who abide by the venue rules however security this evening were really not understanding and were rude. One of my friends were kicked out for 2 hours because of being too intoxicated however she had only had one drink at this point and we had been in the venue for 40minutes at most. Security guards would not allow for me to check on her or see her I was refined to the insides of the venue despite asking nicely. Secondly, they spotted us vaping in the smoking area which then after we came back in the security guard took two of us outside and asked to hold onto our vapes as they arenât permitted inside - this was confusing as we had quite literally been standing cold outside numerous times in the designated smoking area to vape. Lastly, my partner waited for me in the hand washing section of the toilet as I had been suffering really bad endometriosis pain and he wanted to be able to check on me vocally that I was okay. It was one cubicle in a toilet so there was confirmed no other people even near the handwashing station. The security guard did not take the time to even look into where my partner was stood or what was happening, we walked out of the handwashing station to the landing and security immediately removed us from the venue, my partner then explained he would like to get my belongings as they were at the table we was sat at, which was right next to the door can I add, and security grabbed him and started to be very hostile toward him. This was coming up to 1am. I did not see any of the other groups of people being removed for the same things despite literally seeing it happen with my own eyes; it felt wrongful that only my group was being picked on for no reason. Whilst I work in a bar I can understand and adhere to rules surrounding places like that but this was honestly ridiculous! I DO...
Read moreDrinks are good and there are good Happy Hours offers. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that good. My english is not the best and the workers there could have done way better in talking to us.
In the bar there are many signs that say "2 for 1 on all cocktails" at Happy Hour. At first I ordered 2 non alcoholic Cocktails and everything was fine, I paid for one. Afterwards I asked the worker "does this count for all cocktails or only for the ones without alcohol?", and he answered "only for the ones without alcohol, for alcoholic cocktails a discount of 2,50 Pounds applys at Happy Hour". So I ordered 1 cocktail and payed for 1, because I thought I need to pay for 2 when ordering 2. After that, I noticed that all them people after me always ordered 2 cocktails, and when seeing that they only need to pay for one I did speak to the workers again.
In doing so, I explained my situation and asked if its possible to get the second cocktail now, which was not possible because I only ordered one. Now I dont understand why this wasnt possible. I need to say that we were one of the first customers this day, and there were maybe 5 other people in the bar, and both of the workers knew exactly what we ordered 5min ago.
Know it seems like a small thing, but I had the feeling this only happened because we were no locals.
But as I said the drinks were good, but I think this situation could have been ended way better. If I was the worker, I would have given out the second cocktail. I completely understand that this is not possible in rush hour, because no one knows what was ordered and so on, but when there are almost no people, and they speak english not that good, I would have given out the second cocktail, everything would be fine and they would order many more on that night. But after that we left and gave our money...
Read morePaid entry, waiting to put my stuff in the cloakroom for 10mins for them to turn us away and said they can put anything else in there, when thereâs clearly not full and lots of empty hangers and racks. Weâve asked to see the manager for a refund as we donât really see the point of staying in a nightclub with having to carry coats and bags. Then was manhandled by a security guy to be removed outside without any sorts of communications. After speaking to the manager, was refused to be let in as we were accused to have not paid entry. We even tried to explain that we have paid and the till guy would recognise us and even showed the receipt. Never have I ever spoken to a more rude security guard to dismissive everything Iâve said and didnât even apologise for his mistake nor the way he speaks to a paying customer. Secondly, Iâve never been to a single club that doesnât have a stamp systems to recognise that customers has paid for entry. Thirdly, Iâve never been to a club who could not accommodate their cloakroom capacity to refuse cloaks/bags, especially in cold weather where everyone is wearing a coat. I definitely wonât be coming back nor recommend it to anyone as the customer service and professionalism...
