London Pub MapLondon Pub Map
🚇 Hackney Central 🍺 £4.60 Cruzcampo The Globe is located on Morning Lane just off Mare Street in Hackney. The nearest station is Hackney Central overground. The original pub on this site was built in 1891. It’s not clear if the pub suffered war damage or was just demolished to make way for the Trelawney Estate and the new pub in 1960. This is a long and narrow flat roof pub which is traditionally decorated with modern feel. As you enter, the servery is on the right and stretches halfway down the bar. At the back of the bar is a raised area which has two dartboards. There is plenty seating throughout, a few TV’s for watching sport and a proper patterned pub carpet. At the front of the pub are a number of benches for having a beer in the warmer months. The beer line offers a selection of mainstream brews and cask ales. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint was excellent, price point was fantastic and under five quid. There is no food served at present. We arrived around 4.30pm on a warm Saturday afternoon in August. The pub was packed with a local crowd of young and old punters that proper Hackney locals. The atmosphere was great, there was a upbeat buzz about the place and everyone was friendly. This @craftunionpubs pub shows live sports and host’s Karaoke and Live Music evenings. There are not many born and bred locals pubs left in the Borough of Hackney, so it was great to see @theglobehackney thriving. I absolutely loved visiting here, there is a solid community feel to the pub where gentrification has not entered its doors. The beer was top notch and as cheap as you like. If you want to experience Hackney of old, put this one on your list. More pub info @londonpubmap ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 31.08.24

Jill and Steve are a lovely couple, old school publicans, run a pub the way it should be for the customers, and they care for their community as they have done for 30 years, come and be sure of a warm welcome 🙏 😊

The Globe is a simple but great pub, close to Hackney Central station. A firm loyal local following have a drink or two here. The service is splendid and the gossip, intriguing. A fine local pub for a beer.

If you like social clubs you'll like this place, was told recently refurbished and yes it has been (dont know what it looked likr before but could almost still smell the paint, but not right, struggled to get to the bar as full ofnpepole sitting at it (as with local pubs and social.clubs) and they were not for moving even with 4/5 peopel waiting, was recommended it as has 2 dartboards and looking for somewhere to practise, waste of time and effort, throws look good with great lighting but no way of knowing, where to throw from didn't even have a chalk line on the floor, add to that chairs and tables in the way, i would have stayed a good few hrs (and I can drink) so would have a good few quid in the till, but if i cant do what i came here for im going else where (my choice i know) claims of a sports pub but 3 tvs had the chase on, not sport (live or not) and 2 with cricket, that's not sports it's trying to please all and pleasing half, sorry but...
