WatchHouse Fitzrovia — Restaurant in London

Absolutely amazing Sunday morning brunch experience, and it was an experience.

The entire staff team was attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable.

The food, Smoked Salmon, poached egg and avocado, eggs florentine and the veg breakfast were all immaculately presented, cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful.

Getting tasting notes for every drink adds to the experience, from the decaff Soya Latte to the hot chocolate.

But, on a tip-off, 2 of us tried the pour over coffees from the Rarities selection.

In stepped George, who, after providing recommendations, gave us 2 small tasting samples with tasting cards to try while he prepared the real thing.

THIS IS NOT JUST COFFEE!

It would be easy to be put off by the price of "a cup of coffee", but once you hear how much investment has gone into the Watchhouse way, from working with world class growers and providers to source coffees with flavours most will never taste to the ensuring the water all the branches use is exactly the same, to the skill taken to prepare each drink, suddenly a cup of coffee is more like a fine wine tasting experience.

As a former sommelier, I can say that it's comparable in every way.

On a rainy day, my girlfriend and I came to your establishment and were kept waiting for about 25 minutes. When we requested to be seated at a particular table, we were told that it was ‘occupied’ and were instead directed to another, clearly less desirable spot. However, shortly after, a well-dressed couple who arrived after us was seated at the table we had initially asked for. This gave us the impression that the decision was not about availability but rather based on our appearance—being wet from the rain and dressed casually (in tracksuits). This experience was both disappointing and humiliating. Customers should be treated fairly and equally, regardless of their appearance. Unfortunately, this situation left us questioning the value placed on customer satisfaction...

My husband, his friend, and I visited this place yesterday, and it was an excellent recommendation from our friend since we’re all coffee lovers. The atmosphere was classy, elegant, and so welcoming.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Although they didn’t have the specific coffee I was looking for, I tried the Anibal Diaz instead, and it was absolutely fantastic, smooth, rich, and full of flavor. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of coffee and the overall experience.

We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town! We only wish they would open a branch in Edinburgh, as that’s where we’re visiting from. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great coffee and a relaxing,...
