Really, really, really good burger! I strongly beleive that a good burger starts from a good beef-cheddar-bacon trio. Tic :) High quality or even organic ingredients, near the Oxford street, but not pricey? Ok, they really know what are they doing, aren't they?
Spring Burger: If you want high quality beef you should know the best butcher in the city too, if you are that butcher even better. This is the case here, and yes, the meet was really good and tasty. Also I could taste the cheddar nicely, I can still remember the flavour. Bacon was not that distinctively memorable, but rounded up nicely the flavour profile. (Tip - I love crispy and smoky bacons- it gives a + texture to the whole and the smoke spice it up) I could taste the garlic and the pickles too. Bun toasted on both sides as it should be. The whole could have been a bit warmer though.(Tip - the best buns are home made, but compare to the average, this one was surprisingly fine too.) Rosemary chips - I love rosemary - chips not oily at all, not burned, very crispy and full of flavour. Best chips ever. :D
The killercat ale was really good too- reminded me elderflower.
Place: Rather small, and simple. Don't want to be a restaurant or a pub. It just a cosy and friendly place where you can eat a good burger. I can imagine it could be really crouded around lunch time, but we visited the place after 3 PM. Waiters were super friendly.
Do I recommend it?...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Honest Burgers in Oxford Circus, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive from the moment I arrived.
The menu at Honest Burgers is focused on, you guessed it, burgers, and they are simply delicious. The meat is high-quality and cooked to perfection, and the toppings are creative and flavorful. The bun was fresh and soft, and the accompanying fries were crispy and perfectly salted. They also had a great selection of craft beers and other drinks to complement the meal.
What really stood out to me, however, was the attention to detail. Everything from the presentation of the food to the quality of the ingredients to the cleanliness of the restaurant was top-notch. It was clear that the staff take great pride in their work and care about their customers' experience.
In addition to the great food, the location of the restaurant in Oxford Circus is convenient and easy to access. It's the perfect spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with friends or colleagues.
Overall, I would highly recommend Honest Burgers in Oxford Circus to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. The quality of the food and the level of service were both excellent, and the attention to detail really sets this restaurant apart. I will definitely be returning for another meal in the...
Read moreI'd been hankering after a 'proper' burger for a while, and ended up slightly reluctantly coming to Honest Burgers after failing to get in to an independent burger joint nearby. "Slightly reluctantly" because I wasn't optimistic that a chain restaurant would be able to satisfactorily produce the kind of burger I was after.
I was wrong! I was expecting something better than those offered up by 'the big two' high street fast food joints, but still not really all that good, yet the burger was actually pretty impressive, with some good fries too. I'd happily go again.
Can't give 5 stars though, as the distribution of the contents was slightly uneven - particularly the caramelized onion - and the patty was slightly undercooked from what we'd asked for (more medium rare rather than medium well, and my wife said the same for her burger which was meant to be well done but had quite a lot of pink in it... not far enough off for us to send back, but other customers might be more demanding - and easily avoided with an instant-read thermometer, I'd have thought).
I find the menu was slightly confusing as on the one hand the footnote said 'All burgers come with fries' , but the burgers state the price as "including a side" where the sides included Rosemary Chips. To me, chips and fries are not the same. All easily clarified with the waitress though, so not a big deal.
Sorry for doubting you,...
