Me and my boyfriend decided last minute to go here on a date, and it was honestly one of the best places I’ve ever been to! The service was lovely, it was a black-haired woman who served us and she was very polite and kind. We were greeted by a man behind the bar, who was also very polite and kind in his approach. The service was amazing! I suppose it would make sense considering it was a Monday and it was pretty dead (we were there around 6pm-7.30pm). The food- ESPICALLY the dough balls were the most scrumptious thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. They just melted with pure cheesy and garlic buttery goodness!! I had loaded nachos with slow-cooked beef brisket, I do wish the portion of meat on the nachos was a bit bigger, aswell as guacamole but that would be my only complaint (however I did only have one bite of guacamole). Aside that they were delicious and the cheese was the PERFECT consistency. My boyfriend had a chicken buttermilk burger with curly fries and he said it was one of the most succulent burgers he’s ever tasted, espically paired with the chipotle sauce. Now, we did have churros for dessert (our eyes may have been bigger that our bellies) we felt sooo full afterwards, but don’t doubt we enjoyed and savoured every single one of them churros, which were heavingly complimented by a chocolate and caramel sauce! I also had a mango juice drink which was lovely. We will definitely be returning again, and we are already talking about our next trip! I would definitely...
Read moreThis is a pleasant restaurant with a very detailed Mexican-inspired decoration. The walls are colorful and filled with religious (Catholic) imagery. The staff were efficient and cordial throughout the night. My friends were particularly happy about the 2x1 offer on drinks and the overall prices were reasonable given the location. I ordered the "Gaucho Burger". Although the burger was tasty, of the right size and very good on its own right, it has a serious personality and/or authenticity issue. As someone born and bred in the Argentine Pampas, the land inhabited by the gauchos for the last few centuries, I am fully entitled to say that the "habanero mayo", or indeed any ingredient that spicy, has no place in a dish called "Gaucho" or anything related to Argentine cuisine. This is not a Gaucho burger, is what a Mexican who never visited Argentina might think about what Gauchos ate. There are 2 easy solutions: either you rename the burger and remove any reference to the gauchos or, preferably, you replace the "habanero mayo" by authentically Argentinean "chimichurri sauce". The second solution has an additional advantage: chimichurri is much easier to prepare than whatever mayo you are using now. I really encourage you to explore that path. The curly fries, on the other side, were top notch and well worth the 50...
Read moreNot a great experience overall. We weren't affected that much but you could tell it was carnage. We went on Saturday night before the theater. It was packed when we arrived at 17:30 and from where my wife was sitting she could see the kitchen; there was that much food left on the pass not being picked up from the wait staff, some must have been 5 minutes. Not really sure how it was being managed. We could see food being sent back, people complaining about food and the table next to us waited 50 minutes for theirs. Luckily we didn't wait that long but after 20/25 minutes I got worried and asked and explained we had a showing at the theater so I think they bumped ours up. We could see tickets just overflowing the machine and feared ours was lost. I will say, the staff, all of them were fantastic, apologetic and very friendly. The food wasn't anything special sadly, it wasn't awful but we had vouchers and I'm not sure it would have been worth the full price/paying. Our chips were stone cold, worse that McDonald's. The burger was okay and the fajitas had nice flavor and surprisingly not too spicy. However, I would say, it's the same quality as what you'd get at...
