It’s a shame that I feel like I have to leave a negative review after reading countless others about the brilliant hosts and service. Unfortunately me and my partner did not experience an inch of brilliant service when we visited today. We had a reservation for 4pm and arrived five minutes early, only to find no staff welcoming us at the door—nor was there anyone in sight. After hovering near a kiosk for a few minutes, a staff member eventually directed us to wait at the bar. Once there, we were told to move to the other end, right in front of the kitchen and bar area, leaving us obstructing the flow of staff carrying out drinks and food. We stood there for about five minutes until someone finally checked on our table, but it became obvious that there was no reserved table for us, as we saw no reservation cards typically left for bookings. When we were finally seated, the table was wet, and my partner's seat was damp as well—not ideal, but we tried to brush it off. After sitting down, we waited another five minutes without any sign of our server and had to wave someone down to inquire about ordering our drinks. At other Slug and Lettuce locations, we were used to having a designated server for our time slot, which added to our confusion. By the time we received our first drinks at 4:20, it felt far too long for a bottomless brunch experience. The drink service remained slow throughout our visit, until just ten minutes before our time ended, we found ourselves with three drinks each. It was disheartening that our pre-booking made no difference in timely seating, significantly cutting into our allotted time.
