Master Wang Noodle has become my lunchtime sanctuary, and for good reason—it boasts the best and most authentic Chinese noodles in town. Regardless of the hour, the place is perpetually buzzing with patrons, a testament to its well-deserved popularity. The star of the show is undoubtedly the noodles. Each strand seems to carry the essence of Chinese culinary mastery, delivering a taste that's both comforting and authentic. It has become my go-to spot, a reliable haven during my lunch breaks. While the noodles take center stage, the rice options are not to be overlooked. They offer a delightful alternative for those seeking a different kind of satisfaction. What sets Master Wang apart is their attention to detail, showcased by the specials listed on the blackboard. These hidden gems, often overlooked, introduce diners to unique flavors and combinations that elevate the dining experience. One thing to note: Master Wang operates on a cash-only basis. It's a small inconvenience easily forgotten once you're immersed in the rich aroma and flavors that await.

Cash only.

Truly excellent experience, probably Newcastle’s most authentic Chinese experience and it’s not even in Chinatown

I had the braised beef and wonton noodle soup. It was amazing. I got the small version because I’d read on GMaps that the portion sizes were massive and Google was right, the large would have simply been too much. Small was more than enough unless you are truly truly starving, I would suggest you get a small portion if you get a soup noodle dish.

I got the scallion pancakes as a side dish, those and the beef noodle fish, both were exquisite. I shall 100% be coming back. The price is amazing and the volume of food that you get is brilliant and the service was fantastic.

This is my new favourite Chinese place in Newcastle.

Important to note. This venue...

The picture on the menu does not look like what I ordered, therefore quite disappointed. I ordered braised beef and wonton noodle soup. I received exactly three small wonton a few small pieces of beef (quite fatty and tough) and one leaf of iceberg lettuce (not the nice quality green choi on the menu photo). Just let you know the menu photo is not what you will get. I even ordered large (£11)! The large option is just extra noodles, that's all. On the positive note, the staff were polite, the soup broth was tasty and the noodles itself were deliciously handmade with a perfect consistency. Hence, three stars. However, I went in January and the place itself was cold n no heating. I had to leave my coat on, eat and go. Hence, the...
